A quiet, mysterious man that wears clothes resembling that of a ninja. He shows up in the most unlikely of places, often as an ally, with motives he keeps gravely quiet about. Often he is seen with a monster of a dog, Interceptor, that has a much more upbeat and playful streak. More often than not, the two are getting into jobs and adventure across the lands.

He owes no allegiance to any faction, but his loyalty is often bought with coin. Everything has a cost-- and he is not above something as low as simple guard duty to as heinous as assassination attempts. Despite this, he seems to come and go when he pleases.

Shadow's dark reputation is perception. It comes from the reality that he takes jobs that most moral people would turn down. Assassinations and jobs that involve any manner of wetwork commonly find their way to him. Ethics isn't an issue in negotiating term-- the price is. Between his work ethic and his stoic demeanor, the reputation of "He'd slit his mammas throat for a nickel!" became part of his personal brand. There is only a partial truth to this brand. It is more perspective than reality. The truth is: he still has pride, honor, and a desire for connection -- but his actions do not reflect it. He has sold himself on the idea that he is a man who will always be close in step to the Reaper and those around him are fated to meet their end.

=Personality=
Shadow has a disconnected personality. Things seem like there is a pane of glass between reality and his emotions. It gives a sense of clarity-- but the emotions feel like echos. It reflects in how he acts around people. Is it an echo of an emotion he remembers or the real thing? Honor is one of the few things that seem in tact-- and honoring deals through money or debts is a driving force for him in this new world.

Interceptor is Shadow's large dog. More than just a mutt-- he is a spunky lifelong friend. Although fierce, he is far more lovable in contrast to the ninja. In many ways Interceptor acts like a seeing eye dog for Shadow-- only instead of guiding his vision-- he guides the man's inner heart.
