Do machines dream? Can creatures born purely of science even dream? In the case of Basics? Programs do dream but not of electronic sheep they normally don't know what they are. Deelel had gone into a sleep cycle to recover after the protection of DJ Zero's show from the iBacon aka the noise pigs.
Still Deelel rested for a time her dreams was the haunting wonderful music she'd heard that night but the dreams of such began to melt away. She looks about she's not sure where she is but she can hear her self saying.
'What they may never understand is a few strokes of a keyboard and everything about you can change. The users may never understand the terror of that....but are they not able to understand it fully. They can't be changed like that they have nothing to fear from that.
Yet now where is she? She's lost somewhere it's a faculty she looks down at herself she's back on the grid she's home but something isn't right a hallway and she's feeling lost she heads down it. She pauses looking at the chambers. Most are empty and she wonders what this place is she pauses as she looks into one she sees someone she knows it's Zeke, she keeps going she finds user after user she knows. Isaac, Avira and so many others but their gazes are empty, they also have what looks to be machinery integrated into them in certain places.
A sense of fear overcomes the basic what's going on here this isn't right. Users are not made to interface that directly with. She finds more and more users the further she goes all in the same states and hears screaming further down the hallway it's a woman it almost sounds like her but a little off a she cautiously peeks into the next room.
It's a horror show it seems part surgical ward but it's disturbing the smell is alien to her it smells like metal there's stains on the floor ans she sees a black guard standing there. Their helmet snaps back as she looks at Deelel. She's staring into Deelel's face her own face.
“You look so surprised to see yourself doing this but you already done this. After all your the reason the MCP was able to get out into user space....come now let us get to work on upgrading the users. Soon all shall know the order they so badly crave! Come don't you understand? For us it's 0 or 1 for them it's all A T C G.”
The black guard Deelel starts to laugh and Deelel's sleep cycle ends abruptly she wakes up, the room is dark and is sitting up ram rod straight non of the comforting cabling one normally uses when in sleep mode attached from her. Still the dream was right...MCP was here because of her actions.
