Cast of Characters: | King Mickey, Zargabaath |
- Zargabaath has posed:
Quietly trotting out of the hotel, Zargabaath seems to be locking his helmet back into place. Looking up as his own guards come out, he finds thta the Alexander is starting to flt into Traverse Town's airspace as well as a few other airships. However, Zargabaath doesn't ask for any more information, now speaking with his guards about something that seems muted between them. However, other guards seem to mill around, buying supplies, weapon and armor pieces, etc.
- King Mickey has posed:
Sitting atop one of the walls, Mickey Mouse appears to be casually glancing about at the ruckus being created as a result of Zargabaath's soliders. Kicking his feet out leisurely, the king watches the soliders go about their business while being among the other inhabitants of Traverse Town, hustling and bustling all the while as they gather all the supplies requested by their commander. He takes a moment to turn away from his people watching and up towards the airship that is coming into port, The Alexander. His eyes widen in awe of the mighty warship, appearing easily impressed as he speaks, "That is one impressive ship. Certainly, a sight to behold, if I do say so myself."
- Zargabaath has posed:
Turning his Helmeted head, Zargabaath looks towards the mouse upon the wall. One of the guards starts to accost Mickey upon the wall. "you will address him as 'Your honor', mouse." Apparently not knowing who this mouse is. Zargabaath rolls his eyes at his Aide and places a hand upon his shoulder. "Forgive my aide, sir. He is still learning that manners tend to win more hearts than force." His helmeted head then turns towards his Aide, then back to the Mouse. "I do thank you, sir." Addressing Mickey with a bit of respect. "You seem to know a little bit about ships, though I don't know who you are. I am Judge Magister Zargabaath, commander of the 12th Archadian Fleet, and captain of that ship, the Alexander, the flagship of the 12th fleet. It is a pleasure to meet you." He does bow to Mickey, but rises up quickly afterwards.
- King Mickey has posed:
Mickey turns to face the guard that is addressing him directly, blinking at his sudden retort. Even though caught off guard by the remark, the mouse does not seem to take offense. Rather, he seems quite the opposite! A smile curls about the mouse's lips as the troops' commander steps in to not only interject but offer an apology and an equally polite compliment, "No, need to apologise my good sir."
From there, The King leaps from his place upon the wall and begins descending to the ground. He grasps onto a nearby lamp, twirling around the post before landing gracefully a couple feet from the soliders. He quickly glances to the solider who addressed him before turning to the commander to continue where he left off, "I am certain he meant well."
As Judge Zargabaath introduces himself and rises, Mickey smiles once again and with a light chuckle, says, "No need to be so formal with me, your honor. However, I assure you that pleasure is mine in meeting with such a well mannered individual such as yourself." and then proceeds to extend his hand to the much larger human, "Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Mickey. What brings you to Traverse Town, Zargabaath?"
- Zargabaath has posed:
"Well mannered individuals seem to be in short supply in the Arcadian Empire lately." Zargabaath says to Mickey, but looks directly at his guard next to him, whose helmeted head lowers under the Judge Magister's glare. "Forgive me, your honor." The guard says. "You should be apoligize to....Mickey here.....not to me." The guard then apologizes to Mickey as well, then steps back.
The other guard, seeing Mickey's acrobatics, begins to reach for his sword, except Zargabaath stops him as well. "You draw that sword, I will red card you. Do I make myself clear?" Zargabaath's warning makes the guard take his hand away from his sword very slowly, and lower his head as well. "Forgive my guards, Mickey. They are a little on edge after last night. A dark knight decided to try and pick a fight with me, for the atrocities that the Archadian Empire has dealt to him. While I do not blame his actions, picking a fight with me is the wrong way to handle his current situation."
However, he does take Mickey's gloved hand in his gauntleted hand and shakes it a couple of times. "What brings me to traverse town seems to be what is plaguing many dimensions lately....The Heartless. I've been looking for information about them in Traverse Town, among other places, and have been paying people for that information, more munny the more valuable information given."
- King Mickey has posed:
Once again, The King does not seem to take offense to the guards actions though does acknowledge their apology's with a brief nod, "No harm done though your apology is appreciated.", provides an empathetic glance to each of the guards as the judge explaines their current situation.
Mickey's ears perk up at the mention of a dark knight, as well a quirk of his brow as he turns his gaze back to address Zargabaath. Mickey folds his arms across his chest and continues, "Well, I imagine if I were involved in a skirmish like the one you described, I'd imagine I'd be a lil skitish myself. So I can certainly preciate your predicament."
Mickey tilts his head and asks, "You mentioned a Dark Knight attacked you for some past greviences and they claim it was made by your country and provoked the assault. Could you describe this individual by chance?"
The King also takes note of the Judge's reasons concerning The Heartless though one subject at a time.
- Zargabaath has posed:
"Dark armor, annoying personality. One thing I did hear was his name was Vespar, apparently a former noble in a coutry archadia absorbed a few years ago. Regrettable, but from the way he described it, rather than just peacefully taking the country, they attacked it, killing just about everyone, and he's taken up arms against the whole of Arcadia. Unfortunately, it sounds like Judge Magister Bergan was the one who attacked his home, since that is precisely his tactic: to attack until there's absolutely no hope of winning, then he'll allow you to surrender if he's in a good mood. or so it seems to me." He then crosses his arms. "He didn't physically attack me, if that's what you mean...."
- King Mickey has posed:
King Mickey says, "Well, at least that's a good thing. I was just asking because I had met a dark knight here in town a couple days ago and was not sure if you encountered the same person or not."
Mickey turns towards The Alexander as he considers how to inquire further about the Judge's pursuit of the Heartless. To The King, it is a most noble goal and given the Archadian Empire's resources, they would stand better odds against them than most. Still, as a Keyblade Master, he is wary of anyone taking on the heartless. Too much life has been lost to them already and everyday that list continues to grow larger.
The King's gaze shifts from the warship to the Judge's soliders and then back to Zargabaath, offering him a weak smile. At least one thing is for certain in the King's mind, at least they are pursuing the same goal. He decides to break the silence and asks, "So, you are actively pursuing The Heartless plaguing other worlds, huh? Have you found out anything of interest in your travels across worlds?"""
- Zargabaath has posed:
Zargabaath says, "I had met another Dark Knight that is in a a similar situation as I am. Bound by an oath to serve his king, even though his king is actively using heartless to attack other provinces. My emperor hasn't used heartless yet, and, if I have anything to say about it, he won't." he then looks back to the Alexander. "Unlike the other Dark Knight, named Kaydin, I cannot so casually abandon my post. I have men under my command that I cannot simply abandon, and I fear the 12th fleet would not follow me, most people would, but I would rather have Archadia, as a whole, not be comsumed by Heartless, as well as lands it now controls. Drace would probably agree with me, as would Larsa, I hope." He then looks to Mickey again. "It seems Heartless are little more than mere animals. They try to find pure hearts, and then consume them. It also seems that you CAN control them, by sheer force of will, but if your will lessens control, even for a bit, the Heartless can break free, and devour you." He then grumbles under his helmet. "And, apparently, if you wield dark power, you risk becoming one of them." He then chuckles a bit, under his helm. "Good thing I do not."""
- King Mickey has posed:
Mickey listens to Zargabaath, who continues to reveal a little more of his character at a time as they both look onto The Alexander, "I see you take great pride in being honorable and not taking your position as a leader lightly. You hold true to your love for both kin and country. I highly respect that." and then turns back to the judge, "I must say it suits you."
Unfortunately, most of what the Judge Meister has explained is already known to The King. However, while it may not be particuarly useful to him, Mickey is glad to see others are starting to pick up on certain characteristics. Also, with the Judge's willingness to share his information, it would be impolite for the mouse not to do the same. He does seek to return the favor by saying, "The Heartless may appear mindless or animalistic as you said though it has been my experience they can cordinate themselves rather effectively in larger numbers, particularly if they are being controlled by a master as you mentioned. I would caution you to be wary as you would be fighting any other foe."
- Zargabaath has posed:
"Yes. That LEXUS person did mention being able to control them, so I must...." Zargabaath then stops to listen to Mickey as he mentions larger numbers. "Is that right? I shall not underestimate them then. Treat them, as I would any other foe, and destroy them. Give them no mercy for I shall not receive any." He then looks back to the Alexander, just before one guard steps up to Zargabaath and bows to him. "Your honor, the supplies have been loaded." Zargabaath looks to his Aide and nods quietly. "It seems I must be away, Mickey. I have heard of another place that beaars investigating.....a place called 'Baron', that has been openly using Heartless themselves, as well as a place called 'Manhattan'." He then bows to Mickey. "Farewell, Mickey. We shall meet again soon and talk more of this Heartless menace." He then turns with his cloak flowing behind him, and walks to a waiting airship to take him back to the Alexander.
- King Mickey has posed:
King Mickey nods to Zargabath, offering a wave to the Judge Meister as the two parts ways, "Farewell to you as well, Judge. Until our next encounter, I bid you safe passage in your up coming travels!"
With that said, The King takes his own leave and begins making his way towards District 3. However, this encounter was not for naught! He gladly takes the Judge's information and plans to make these places called Baron and Manhatten his next two stops.
