Relationships
Allies
Mercade Alexander: The words 'A detective helps those nobody else can help'. Powerful words.
Will Sherman: Umi likes having an uncle. Apparently immortal. The Network is aware that being immortal means greater danger. We are at peace with our deaths, but that does not mean we cannot enjoy our days to the fullets. That is the lesson of Will Sherman.
Celina Duvalis: Not unlike Omi. The Network suspects she enjoys having things to complain about.
Avira: The Network wonders what she will look like human. In this world, nobody minds fuzziness. We have told Ami not to pet her.
Tom Magnusson: He seems to be the peculiar sort of idiot that looks down on others' foolish actions. Master Angler.
Maximilien: Sometimes there are wrong questions. The wrong question, in the case of Maximilien, is 'why does a detective agency have a thief?' The correct question, we suspect, is 'why does a thief spend his time with a detective agency?'. Recently we asked him the correct question and got an answer. Not the answer, of course. I note that the best person to hold a secret is a gentleman thief.
Isaac Hanlon: From our own world. The Network is happy he survived. He brought back the node that calls itself Shida now from being dead. It seems death is as strange as life. <3
Deidra: A gargoyle.
Lavi: ...<3
Leida: A good friend of Imi's. Is afflicted with a crush on Reize Seatlan. This is slightly preferable to being possessed by a demon. She is very unlucky.
Ivo Galvan: Appears to have a good understanding of me.
Acquaintances
Reize Seatlan: Some people are funny.
Caduceus: He scanned Ami. Ami learned about medicine. She wishes to become a vet now.
Faruja Senra: A rat knight. Ami crushed on him. But she's shy so The Network suspects she accidentally twisted his heart around in her hands like a sponge and crushed it. Oops.
Lenn: Her ears have a salty taste. A touch lewd.
Cronus: He has killed many of us. We do not hate him for this. Perhaps, he too...
Baigan: Mr. Snaggletooth. You will be avenged, The Network swears.
Adversaries
The Network has no enemies as of yet. They don't tend to hold grudges.
Abilities
Human Network: The Network's chief ability is simply the fact that there are (at present) five entities with which they share experiences, memory, and knowledge with. Indeed, even their personalities carry a great deal of similarity as a result of this, making it something of a double edged sword as they tend to behave rather similarly with some minor deviations in mannerisms. Naturally they can imitate each other pretty well even without direction and would have no problem with obtaining direction due to their linked minds. It can also be an issue as they tend to try and achieve consensus before coming to a decision though this is not always the case, consensus can take time--leading to effective indecisiveness. The Network has died many times. This leads the five to have a certain acceptance of their mortality and are particularly at peace with it, leading to bravery that can, at times, border on recklessness (or in the case of Umi, jump way past recklessness into supra recklessness). At the same time, they have gotten quite good at avoiding damage, tolerating pain, and stomaching through disgusting experiences by virtue of these shared experiences.
Electromaster: The Network's other chief ability is their control of electromagnetic fields. This is a rather broad field, but they've got good skill in a variety of tricks involving this power and, for that matter, solid firepower to boot. Due to how Vespertine magic works, they also have a great deal of scientific knowledge regarding electrical matters. Of course, while their focus allows for quite impressive displays in this particular power, they do suffer from a lack of variety. In situations where electromagnetic manipulation can't come up with a solution, they're sunk! Or they'd have to get a bit creative. Manipulation of electrical devices is also a potential use.
Firearms: The Network is knowledgeable in the use of firearms but they're not remarkable in their use.
Open Mind: Originally designed as a kind of storage network, The Network learns quickly (should they put their mind to it) and can get a basic understanding of a skillset quickly. They can absorb data from electrical storage devices. They are very curious about the Data Discs from those of the Grid. Notably, they are not--strictly speaking--hackers. Cracking encrypted files is another thing altogether. However, if paired with a hacker, they'd be quite a force to be reckoned with.
Unique Abilities:: The five members of The Network have some unique skills. They are not uncovered yet.
