Appearance
Having dark knight armor, Zerum stands out among his contemporaries in that he rarely actually wears a helmet, preferring a more stylish-looking ciclet, outside of much of having decidedly left his abdomen unarmored. There is method to this madness, in that he feels confident in his reactionary prowess, so attacks coming at his upper body are generally easier to deflect than low blows which requires more time to reach towards; with a lower center of gravity, it also makes magnetic-jumping easier. He has lavender-silver colored hair, green eyes, blueish pigmented skin, and a braid that sometimes ends up draping itself over his shoulder. Zerum is a few inches shorter than his cousin, Gidarch Valos, but still reaches the seven foot range, which isn't incredibly abnormal for drows of the Blue Planet. Also, like dark elves hailing from the Blue Planet, he has a tail.
History
Personality
Abilities
Magnetism- Zerum has an especially strong magnetic influence, and can reduce or increase the weight of metals for as long as he focuses on them. Zerum can even yank weapons out of people's hands, but this is subject to consent. Proficiency-wise, the epicenter of his influence is where his magnetic might is most potent, like that of a bomb's explosivity. When a metal object is right next to him, he can bend it with the strength of a giant, but by the time Zerum targets something metallic that's a football-field away, he'll have problems lifting it unless he exerts the totality of his concentration.
Geokinesis- Zerum can use earth-elemental attacks, and can petrify targets(with their OOC consent) by focusing his energy, akin to how the 'Stone' spell works. He can also manipulate minerals and metals, but has little persuasion over terran-based things such as fauna, and flora.
Shadowmancy- Zerum has familiarized himself in the way of shadow elemental attacks, primarily to do with swordplay, though he does have a few tricks up his sleeve that don't rely on his blade, which are akin to spellcraft.
Levitation- Zerum has a suit of metal armor that, when worn, can be self-targeted and magnetized in order to help him to mimic the effects of the 'Float' spell. This also allows him to decrease his weight, it allows him to leap higher than normal.
Auditory Prowess- Zerum doesn't need to 'see' using visible light, he can use a technique called Flash-Sonar, which allows him to hear/feel vibrations that reflect off of objects. He isn't blind, but in poorly illuminated environments, the power to detect reverberations will help him navigate without falling into pits and the like.
Mental Resilience- Zerum's psychological/emotional state cannot be easily influenced by magics, or by unnatural methods, besides through the medium of verbal assault; it takes a substantial force to affect him. Mind-control and the like will have a questionable success rate, in most cases.
Melodic Debilitation- Harmonic sounds from magical musical instruments can disrupt Zerum's train of thought, and unbalance him. This can impair his control over magnetism, magic, and even decrease his physical proficiency.
Relationships
Echo "Evidently, you don't understand that 'no' means 'no', so next time I'll just take your head off, and no words need be exchanged."
Kyra Hyral "My thanks for the introduction negligence; now, if you contact me from afar, I've no proof that you shall be you, and reimbursement mayn't be necessary....."
Morrighan Alazne "Hmm. I must say, t'was a pleasure being improperly introduced."
Rakassa "You sick pervert."
Trivia
The correct pronunciation of Zerum's name is "Zay - rum".
Zerum is shorter than most dark elves of his world of origin; typically, they range between 7 to 8 feet, with Zer being at the bottom of what's normal.
Zer's preferred headgear is a Thornlet, which is among the very best pieces of armor in the FF installations, except that it gradually drains HP; this is appropriate for his dark knight theme.
