Traveling the worlds, doing good as he goes.

Profile

Luso is a good kid at heart. Upbeat, energetic, willing to lend a hand to any in need. But he can also be a prankster and a joker, which has gotten him into more than his fair share of trouble in his own world, in Ivalice, and now in this new amalgamation of worlds.

But at the end of the day, he knows what he wants to do and he will keep his sight straight and his purpose true, working together with his new found family to find out the truth of this world, and all of the others as well!

Background

Luso Clemens was just like any other kid his age. More worried about playing with his friends rather than studying. Prone to pranks and acting out. All in good nature of course. After all, he wasn't a bad kid. Not by a long shot. But this would be downfall eventually. On the last day of school, he landed himself in.......detention. On the LAST day of school! What sort of evil being does that!?

Alas, he was sentenced to the gravest of punishments; helping Mr. Randell clean the school library! Are you serious? That place is a mess! It's impossible! But no one was going to hear him out, so there was only one thing to do; get to work! The fast he got this over with, the sooner he'd be out and living out the springtime of his youth!

As the boy set about his task, he eventually came upon a rather curious object. A strangely designed book of all things. It looked like it didn't belong anywhere near this place.

Of course his curiosity was piqued. Momentarily forgetting his initial task, Luso sat down and opened the book to have a look. What he found was....a whole lot of nothing. The only text in the entire book was a simple inscription.

"Ye, Whose eyes pass over the text before ye. I entreat ye, provide for me the name of the one who will finish this tome."

Being the genius he was, Luso wrote his own name down into the book. He was rewarded with a burst of energy, sucking him in and then transporting the hapless boy to the world of Ivalice. ...Right in the middle of a heated battle with a Mark courtesy of Clan Gully.

Cid, the leader of Clan Gully, realizing the danger Luso was in, immediately had him join the clan, summoning a judge to help the process along. Luso, being the clueless boy from another world that he was, found himself predictably awed at this display of magic. But there was no time to waste!

And with that, Luso's adventure in the land of Ivalice would begin.

Over time, he would gain experience, traveling across the land, meeting new people, taking down marks, and building the clan's reputation while also trying to find out the truth of the grimoire and find a way back home.

Things seemed to be sailing smoothly for a time until the creatures of the dark began to slip into the world. More and more Marks were for taking down these strange creatures; the heartless. Little does anyone know that this is the work of Illua, the Nightshade. She summons these creatures into Ivalice from the realm of darkness, jealous of Luso's own Grimoire and seeking the power to be gained from within the darkness.

It soon spirals out of control, flooding the world and then...finally Ivalice falls.

Luso eventually finds himself awakening in Fluorgis, alone and his key clanmates scattered across the worlds. Now he must work to find his friends, combat the darkness, maintain Clan Gully, and find a way home. All while doing many a good deed along the way.

It's going to be a wild ride.

Inventory

Equipment
Item Acquired Description
Kotetsu Start Luso's favored weapon for quick strikes. It's easy to draw and slash in the same motion with. Making clear use of Luso's experience with the Paravir Discipline
Ogun Blade Start A sword with a bright orange blade. Luso tends to favor this blade for solo use, bearing down with quick, violent strikes. Showing evidence of his experience with the Pugilist Discipline.
Kwigon Blade Start Luso's most used weapon. It is balanced for either quick or heavy attacks. It is also one of the first good weapons that Luso ever obtained on his own, so it holds some sentimental value to him.
Flametongue Start A long sword that emits a blazing flame from the blade. Luso tends to favor this sword when using debilitating strikes. He also favors dual wielding Kotetsu in combination with this sword.
Excalibur Start Luso's most powerful weapon. It is unknown how exactly he got his hands on this legendary weapon, but he rarely uses it. When Excalibur is drawn, you can be sure that Luso is going for a big attack. Another interesting note is that Luso forms 'The Blade of The Rift' out of the energy that Excalibur emits. Truly a legendary weapon.
Seemingly endless pile of potions. Start No matter where he is or what he's doing, Luso always seems to have a handful of potions handy. A good thing too as he cannot use healing spells. He passed on learning magic, allowing his clanmates to take that up in his stead.
Grimoire of The Rift Start A mysterious tome that is always slung at Luso's waist. It does not seem to have a whole lot of actual value at first glance, but Luso treats it like an irreplaceable object. He will never allow himself to lose this book. As it is his only way back to his own world.

Combat

Luso's fighting style consists of him utilizing the many swords he has on his person in various combinations to execute the skills he knows. His focus is elemental and debuffing attacks, debilitating the enemy before striking to deal the real damage.

Hurdy "Clan Gully's resident Bard" Hurdy's got some great tunes! I kinda miss just sitting back and listening to him play now...

Adversary

Name Short Thoughts
Ewen "Sneaky Ninja" We'll make you pay for hurting Cid, sneaking around, and causing all sorts of ridiculous trouble!
LEXUS "Is he even human?" Some weirdo that was up to no good at all in Manhattan! I couldn't beat him...His powers weren't like anything I've seen before. Sorry guys.

Acquaintances

Name Short Thoughts
Minerva "She's awesome!" I met her in Manhattan when we teamed up to face that weirdo guy in the suit. She's an awesome fighter! Thanks for the help!
Raiya Fujihara "Thanks a lot!" We teamed up along with Minerva to fight the evil guys! Another amazing fighter! I never did get her name, but we'll definitely meet again! I can get it then, right?
Tifa Lockheart "She's nice." Ran into her at the Chocobo Ranch after one of them stole my hat! She's a nice person. Really helpful too. I feel kinda bad for her though. It seems like she's really tried to help people, but got let down...
Kaydin "I dunno..." He doesn't seem like a bad person when I look at him. But the way he talks about his duties and what Tifa says about him...I can't be sure. What I do know though is that he's WAY too much of a downer! Lighten up!
