Bedridden Confessions
Date of Scene: 28 October 2012
Location: Fluorgis
Synopsis: As Reize lays bedridden from the incident at Halloween Town, he is visited by Riku. The two have a heart-to-heart talk about various subjects. A few secrets were exchanged.
Cast of Characters: Reize Seatlan, Riku

Reize Seatlan has posed:
The afternoon is where the sun sines the brightest. The day had passed with ice hot weather in the desert town. Yet, there is plenty of water around the area.

Reize had been resting in bed, looking worse for wear. His travels through Halloween Town earned him the pleasure of being unable to move from the bed for a while. His eyes gaze up along the ceiling, his body feeling even worse for wear.

He is in his room at the Shard Seeker HQ. That lingering urge to leaveand explore creeps, but....

He's stuck.

A sigh of frustration is exhaled.
Riku has posed:
"I always thought you weren't too tightly wrapped, Reize." Riku looks a little tired as he leans against the wall of the dorm, looking into the room and at Reize laying in bed with curiosity.

"I guess I was wrong.." he chuckles slightly but still doesn't enter the room unless he's invited.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
Pfft!

The young adventurer turns to face the older teenager with a look. His eyes furrow with a glare towards Riku. Of course, there is no ill-intent, but he does squint his eye shut and he sticks his tongue out

*Thttthhpp!*

Though, he does smile. "Hey Riku, come on in." His hands move along the bed, but that is the extent of what can move. Crap. Reize turns to face Riku, wincing, "...How've you been?"
Riku has posed:
"Busy." Riku smiles wanly. "Very busy. Some nutcase heaped up piles of trash and then unleashed Noise out onto Traverse Town. Lily and the others blew him back into the middle of next week." he looks a little wary as he says Lily's name, but still manages a faint smile. "I see you've been up to your usual."
Reize Seatlan has posed:
The news about the events out in Traverse Town brings that smile to a close. Losing its cheerful demeanor, the young boy lowers his head. He can see the look on Riku's face as Lily is mentioned. Reize has, first hand, seen how powerful Lily can be.

Reize manages a smile, as faint as it is. "...Lily is powerful, isn't she?" His eyes shut, mentally reflecting back. "...I remember when I first met her. ...She looked like a mess, uncertain where she was at... A large rhinotaur was going to make mincemeat out of her. I had to help her." A smile grows.

But as he thinks about the power, "...I wonder if she came from my world, given how my pendant and her crystal seems to react to each other." He furrows his eyebrows, "... It's odd.. There is so much that she doesn't know... It makes me wonder how she came about in the first place."
"...She didn't have a name when I first met her."
Riku has posed:
"I don't understand much about magic." Riku says softly. "Just be careful, alright Reize? I know.. she's done everything she can to help you, but that kind of power can turn on you.. faster than you might realize." he sighs, smiling tiredly as he rubs at his eyes.

"But you'll be fine, right? You'll all look out for eachother, and you'll be fine." he seems to be more trying to convince himself rather than Reize. "What were you DOING-- to get wrapped up like a mummy?"
Reize Seatlan has posed:
"To be honest, Riku...?" The boy lifts his shoulders slightly, "I don't understand it either." His thoughts turn away, "...My father has had run in with magic during his travels.... In fact, he has told me many times. I believe in it and him." He smiles faintly, "... I can even see magic with my own eyes... I can see when people are drawing its power... I can even see it around..." He adds, "...That is only with this pendant, which seems to contain some type of magic." He is about to ask Riku a question until his friend intercepts him wit his own.

"...I tried stopping the Heartless from escaping with the canisters back in Halloween Town. I don't know what was in it. However, they were gettng away on the giant robot chicken that some of the other folks that I was traveling with were fighting. When it tried getting away, I jumped on the vehicle and used my pendants magic to slam into it... I got caught in the explosion."
Riku has posed:
"Giant chicken?" Riku looks at Reize curiously, raising his eyebrows. "Wow. You must have been hit harder on the head than I thought." he smirks as he says this though, leaning away from the wall to take a seat on a chair nearby. "But-- what was in those canisters, do you know? They must have wanted them for a reason."
Reize Seatlan has posed:
"Ooi! It's true! I seen 'em!" The boy huffs, his eyebrows furrow before he considers the next question that Riku brings up. "You know, I don't know. I only recall reading that it said... 'D-Fuel'." Besides that, Reize carries a very clueless look.

"Maybe some of the others may know... I was traveling with a few people! Tifa was there, so was Mercade, and Avira!"
Then he thinks over, "...I remember running into a bunny named Oswald and some dark knight named Kaydin."

He squints, "...He seems like one of those bad people that give people candy to follow them."
Riku has posed:
"Kaydin?" Riku snorts faintly. "He's alright. Just a bit of an oversharer like you are Reize. I wouldn't be too worried about him. I'll ask some of the others if I get a chance. It might be worth pursuing just to see what the heartless are up to."
Reize Seatlan has posed:
"Don't know. Shiki told me about guys like him." The young adventurer looks rather confused for a moment, thinking about Kaydin for a few more moments. But then, Reize remembers the question that he wanted to ask Riku.

"...Hey, Riku...?" Reize turns towards his older friend, "...That day that you helped with repressing the nighmares in the pendant..." The smile grows, his body relaxing.

"...Did you feel the presence of the magic too? The essence that the pendant contained?"
Riku has posed:
Riku frowns, glancing at where the pendant lay. "A little bit." he shrugs. "Somebody tried to pull a nasty trick on you, Reize. Thankfully. It didn't work." he smirks. "Also. Remind me never to give you any candy. Since obvious if I did, I'd have to be a bad guy."
Reize Seatlan has posed:
*tttthhhhppp!*
Reize, of course, sticks out his tongue once more. Afterwards, he gives a contemplative look.
"...Yeah, I know..." The boy lowers his head, then he glances towards the pendant.

"... I told you a while back that this was what my father gave me when I was younger..." A faint smile grows. "I think I know a little more about it." He struggles, but his hand rests along the pendant.

"...When I was in that strange world... the voice guided me out." It feels like deja vu upon his explanation, but he continues, "I could see many balls of light appearing before me. As I touched one of them... I could hear a voice. They wanted something."

"I heard people's wishes... The pendant, in some way, is connected with people's wishes... One person wanted is memories back, another wanted to consider himself worthy of his father's sword, and another person wanted to be reunited with his friends.."
Riku has posed:
Riku continues to frown as Reize talks. "I see." he says at the end of that recounting, rubbing the back of his neck. "But that's kind of a broad brush. Why is it that you chase these things, Reize? Most wishes are chased, or not, by the people who own them. Why is it so important for you to listen to a voice that might not even be trying to help you, or anyone else?"
Reize Seatlan has posed:
"...Sometimes, everyone could use a little push and help to achieve their wishes. Not everyone are able to find it on their own." He brightens, turning to give Riku a smile, "...My father was an adventurer who traveled the world, helping those who were in need. No matter how big the task or how small, he helped them. In turn, he learned many ways in his travel because he kept an open mind."

"I recall what that voice told me long ago.." Reize, through his strength, lifts his hands up to hold onto the pendant. "'Open your mind, open your heart, and the truth shall be revealed to you.'" As he says that, the pendant releases a radiating light that shines. A green illumination surrounds the boy.

"Like my father, I want to explore the world. However, like him, I don't mind stopping and taking the time to listen to someone needing help." His eyes lift up, "...I admired my father for that. I don't expect them to help me in return, but... it's something that I feel should be done."

"...But, like many others, I'm also looking for someone in my travels."
Riku has posed:
Riku stays quiet, listening to Reize tell his story without commenting. He grimaces at the pendant with a more than obvious suspicion, but he doesn't air his feeling aloud. He crosses his arms and listens.

His mind starts to drift back to his own family, but the nightmare gets in the way, and the edges of the memories have faded ever so slightly around the edges.. so he pushes it all away after a few moments. "Who are you looking for, Reize?"
Reize Seatlan has posed:
"The person who crafted these cards..." The boy looks over towards the bed, his hand moving part of the covers aside to reveal a deck of tarots. Those tarots are pulled out and he places it near his chest. He was not going to remain in his condition without being able to hold ono these. His cheerfulness slowly subsides as the yearn-filled look crosses his features. It's a little melancholy.

"...The face I never seen... Person whose voice that I can barely remember hearing..." His hand moves along the imagery. "...Yet whose vision is phenomenal... as my friends have seen... And as I am learning through these cards, as many of them seem like nothing I've seen before...." Those cards contain the images of various parts; Shibuya, a world that is modernized and populated that it looks out of place for Reize; a floating continent, and other various worlds. Yet of them all...

Riku can see Destiny Island.

Reize's heard lowers, "I'm looking for my mother."
Riku has posed:
Riku tries not to breath in sharply, but the sudden appearance of that image on the tarot card catches him a little by surprise even though he's braced for it. He coughs faintly and looks away before the recongition registers on his face. "I see. So that's who made those cards. Hmmph." he sighs quietly, but doesn't seem to have anything else to say.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
 !!!

"Riku, are you okay?!" The boy looks at Riku with concern, even moving forward before..

"Ow!" He winces, already falling back towards the bed. Ow. Moving hurts quite a lot. So, with that, Reize just lies there, unable to continue his efforts.

"...My father never talked about her. Even when I asked him questions, he always deflected them." He looks at the tarots, "So..." He looks at Riku with a faint smile, "These are all of the clues that I have to go about to try to find her." He looks back towards the older teenager, "... Well, there was one thing... She tended to chase the visions that she has. ..So in a way, she's an explorer as well."
Riku has posed:
"I'm okay, Reize. Settle down." Riku decides some minor honesty will deflect from-- well, anyways. "I was just a little startled. That card, the one third from the top? It looks very much like my home." he snorts faintly. " Your mom's a much better artist than I am."
Reize Seatlan has posed:
So it is confirmed. "That explains the drawing that you shown me before." At Riku's comment, Reize merely brightens as cheerful as he can be, "Your artwork is great yourself, Riku! I think you'll be a great artist one day! Just don't give up at it!" He muses, "...I have to improve my oratory storytelling."

The boy considers, "...I remember my dad telling me that she drew those just for me before she had me. When he asked her what they were for... She told him that it'll aspire me to see these in person."

"Strange, isn't it?" He looks back at Riku.
Riku has posed:
"Strange has taken on an entirely different meaning since I've met you, Seatlan." Riku gets up from the chair, standing with his hands on the back of it. "But no. Not really. I think everybody dreams of the worlds outside their window. Your mom was just a lot better at it than everybody else."
Reize Seatlan has posed:
Riku's dry comment, amusingly, gets a laugh from Reize. Despite his injuries, he is in good spirits. It help, even more so, that he has been able to tell someone about it.

A nod is given to Riku, then Reize looks at the teenager. "...Riku." His cheerful demeanor calms to a serious, yet more pleasant, heartfelt look. "...Thank you for listening. Not many people know... I recently learned a bit more about the pendant..." He grins, "...And sharing a bit of yourself. I know you tend to keep things to yourself at times."
Riku has posed:
Riku nods, made uncomfortable by the heartfelt words. "I'd say take care of yourself, but that isn't going to happen." he smirks. "So I'll say. Have a good afternoon, Reize. Remember this the next time you try something so reckless." there is that moment of mischief again. Something bad is coming. Riku digs through his pockets.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
"Heee! Knight's Vow #19: Not all right choices are the smart ones." And yet, when he tells the boy to have a good afternoon and to remember this.. "Huh?" He looks at Riku with a clueless look. "Remember what, Riku?"

It takes a couple of moments, but Reize can feel something twitching. It is like something is on his face and arms and legs. However, Reize can't figure out what. He grimaces, trying to move to scratch it. However, with the wrapped bandages, he can't seem to get that itching. "Gah!"

He shudders, twitching his body, but unable to move.

"R--Riku! What did you do?!" He cries out, trying to use his bandages to help. No available. "Itching all over!"
Riku has posed:
Riku nods at Reize sagely, pulling out the small box. He looks at it. "Hmm. Itching powder. Guaranteed to make you chuckle and the other guy itch. Hmm." he looks at Reize and then starts to snicker. "Well. I think I'll consider this munny well spent." He watches Reize for a few more moments, then puts the box away. He salutes to the younger boy. "Fearless Leader" and leaves the room.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
As Riku leaves the room, he will find that angered voice, in admist of trying to relieve the itch and no available.

"RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!"

Reize would be shaking a fist if he could. However, barely move, let alone shake a fist. Suffer he must.

"It itches..." Comical river of tears run along his eyes.
