The Wild Rose Rebellion is a resistance organization fighting against the Empire of Palamecia. It is formed out of the remnants of the Kingdom of Fynn, after it has been conquered by Palamecia. Princess Hilda is the self-professed leader of the resistance movement, along with the White Mage Minwu. Firion and his friends ask to join the resistance and are official members after they return Scott's ring to Hilda. Upon the death of the King of Fynn, the young Prince Gordon takes command of the army as per the king's request, helping out Princess Hilda. They make an attempt at retaking Fynn, but are stopped as they find that strange creatures called Heartless are being used by Gordon to stop their assault. They are beaten back - and soon find their world drawn into darkness. When they find their way out, they find themselves in a whole new world...
