The airships were mostly being used to not only handle some civilians, but one airship in particular was being used to handle official matters and act as planning stage for the future assaults. It was this very airship that Judge Magister Gabranth was called upon.
He walked down the halls of this airships. The metal spires wrapping around the walls to the ceiling so many feet. Carpet down the center with metal flooring to the side, all leading to a massive double door with four guards at each side.
The four archadian soldiers quickly saluted, and two of them opened the doors as one of them spoke. "His majesty, Lord Vayne is waiting for you inside, your honor."
Gabranth gave a nod as he then made his way inside. The doors closed behind him as he carefully walked across the floor. Staring at the wrap around room, with the carpeted floor that had just been freshly placed in. The polished metal that lined the area. The personal bar off to the side. Library shelf of books on the other.
Doors leading to the bedroom most likely and in the back of this wrap around room as the very desk at which Vayne would now be handling the matters of the Empire from. Including the very man himself looking out the large window to the sky and to what remains of Upper Archades now floating on the city.
"You called for me, my lord?" Gabranth said calmly coming to a halt a few feet from the desk at attention.
Vayne slowly turned to face Gabranth, his face for a moment hidden by his black, curly raven hair, before he came to fully face the Judge of Ambition. "Judge Magister Gabranth." Lord Vayne said with a crisp, calm tone. "I have decided we shall have a heart to heart talk, hound."
Vayne then narrowed his eyes. "After all, I hate to see such a find hound look for scraps from another table."
Gabranth canted his head to the side gently. Though silence stayed as he only watched Vayne walk around the desk.
The eldest of the two brothers of the Solidor family gently ran his fingers along the smooth dark cherry wood finish if the desk as he started to come around to stand along side the desk. "I have known for some time, Gabranth, that my father had you shadowing my steps and reporting to him directly regarding all my activities."
Vayne then moved his hand off the desk before looking at his fingers tips for a moment, then directly at Gabranth with cold eyes. "I need to know your loyalty will remain with the house, even after my father's passing. That you will, as head Judge Magister, do as I say and not disobey. Like a good. Loyal. Hound."
Gabranth then turned his head slightly, before coming to fully look at Vayne Solidor once more. Still remaining silently, he only shifted his weight slightly on his legs.
Vayne then started to walk up to Gabranth. Each step measured precisely and each step very calm as he moved across the floor toward the Judge Magister. One boot down a step, then another as he spoke. "Because I would hate to put down such a fine specimen my father had so raised for his duty and replace him with another. After all, you dear hound, have become tainted and are only controllable by the very collar you wear." Vayne then reaches right up the armor and pulls out the leather corded necklace with the white crystal on it that glows gently. "Without this-- you would be wild and not tamable. No good to us at all." He then lets the crystal drop back down, clanking softly against Gabranth's dark and goldish silver ruined armor.
"So my hound," Vayne Solidor then started to walk back up as he places his hands behind his back. "What trial shall I give you to test your sovereignty and your loyalty?" He then turns to face Gabranth. "Hm? What shall we do?"
Judge Magister Gabranth glances down, his blue eyes scanning the grounds quickly for an answer. Any good answer. "Whatever my lord wishes. I will perform." He says calmly. "I will do whatever you command of me."
Lord Vayne then raises an eye brow gently. "Whatever I command of you?" his brows then lower slightly. "That is a rather broad statement you give to me, Gabranth." He then raises up his hand, motioning with his index and middle finger gently. "First remove your helm."
Gabranth reaches up carefully and does so, he then tucks the helm under his arm.
Vayne Solidor then stares at the man with his gray blue eyes. "That is. Much better." Vayne then places his hand behind his back. "Now then. Let us /discuss/ what I wish for you to do in order to test your loyalty. Just to see if you /will/ do 'whatever' I command of you, oh so loyal of hounds."
"Let us just see.." Vayne then smiles ever so softly as he stares directly at Gabranth, looking him dead in the eyes. "Such as starting with your true name and every, piece, of detail. Including your amazing work of assassination. Let us just start there and we shall work on the rest."
Gabranth eyes widen for a moment as his hand tightly clenched his helm. Though his eyes start to calm, his hand does not. "..As you wish, my lord. This is a long story, but I will recite it all from the beginning." Gabranth closes his eyes for a moment before he then reopens his eyes, speaking gently. "It all beginnings in the Republic of Landis.."
