Date of Scene: 06 November 2012
Location: Traverse Town
Synopsis: Rhyme meets Sho. Things are looking grim until an Archadian Judge intervenes...
Cast of Characters: Sho Minamimoto, Cirra Constantine, Rhyme

Sho Minamimoto has posed:
It's a calm time in Traverse Town for the moment.

That's because it's nice ans quiet. Peaceful.

This is because Sho needs new batteries for his megaphone. Right now, he is sitting on top of a building, watching the people below and seething quietly to himself, considering his next move in complex mathematical functions. Maybe something he sees down there will inspire him to his next activity.
Rhyme has posed:
And along the Traverse streets wanders someone who by all rights should be dead.

Twice.

Rhyme, beanie, baggy shirt, pendant and all happily wanders right past the Sho-Man's perch, angling for the WildKat Cafe, though she seems to be taking her nice, sweet time.

As she wanders, aimless except 'going towards that cafe and enjoying herself', she draws a small, black and white disc from her pocket - a pin, and looks at it for a few seconds. What did it /mean/?
Cirra Constantine has posed:
Cirra Constantine is the oh so lucky judge that gets to go out and explore for Archadia. Lucky is a subjective term. some of the Judges think she's a freak of nature... They are, technically, correct.

The black garbed woman comes around the corner of tRaverse Town, her head on a swivel as she looks around to try and memorize the shops avaialbe here -oh! theres a weapon shop! she start to step towards it, then hastily takes a step backa s Rhyme almost runs into her.

"Excuse me." She says, it's poliet, if cool toned.
Sho Minamimoto has posed:
Just when Rhyme thought she was safe.

SHE WAS WRONG. Sho picks up the megaphone next to him and hits the button, and then remembers that it's not working at the moment. He sighs in frustration, and vanishes from his perch.

There is a sudden motion, and Sho appears before her, grinning maniacally. "So what is a zero like you doing outside of your defined limits?" Sho narrows his eyes as he states at the girl, leaning in and more or less ignoring the fact this looks looks really weird. "Your graph is looking a little off-base, yoctogram. How did you get here?"
Rhyme has posed:
Rhyme just about slams into the black-clothed Judge before skidding to a halt, her hand clenching around the pin as she comes to a stop, sort of checking herself and Cirra quickly. "I'm so sorry. I didn't hit you, did I? I'm not usually like this, I've just got a lot on my mind..." And then...

The Grim Heaper appears. "Ah!" She cries, practically jumping back from where she was standing as Sho appears before her. "W-what are you doing here? I... Wait, who are you?" She wonders, looking quzzically at Sho. "Zero? Defined limits? Yocto... somethings? I came... well, it was very dark, and then there was a bright light, and I woke up not far from here. I don't have my player pin any more, either." she replies, calming a bit even though Sho's in her face. It was just the surprise!
Cirra Constantine has posed:
"It's fine." Cirra holds up a hand as she looks at the girl. She smiles at her, just a little but it's genuine. Judge she maybe but thats no reason to be harsh over little honest mistakes. "Where are your pa..." she pauses, right. Here, it's probable the girl has no parents left. "Where are you goi-"
Speaking of graphs, Cirra's creep-o-meter just went off the charts. The silver haired woman looks at Sho levely, as if drawing a line across two axis to find a single point.

"I beg your pardon," she says to Sho. Then looks at Rhyme, "You know this man." then quickly looks at Sho again out the corner of her eye, this guy seems really obtuese, like a shape you can't do much with.
Sho Minamimoto has posed:
"Pin or not, you're a Player." Sho points at her, and he folds his arms. "And I'm Sho Minamimoto, the Game Master. Remember it."

He glances up at Cirra with a jaundiced eye. "Do you know why I called her a yoctogram? Because that's how much weight your opinions carry with me! What kind of irrational point are you trying to plot here?"

He looks back to Rhyme. "You've become a bit of an undefined variable, haven't you?" He grins, a malicious tinge entering his expression. "This might actually be a useful variable."
Rhyme has posed:
"I don't really know him, no, miss. I know /of/ him. I used to be a... Erm, I guess still am a Player. In the Reaper's Game. I... Well, I thought the game was over! I mean, we're not in Shibuya. Or..." Rhyme claps her hands to her ears a few times, looking at the ground.

"Miss, this... Person was part of a 'game' that a few of my friends were in. But why are you... Undefined variable?" She holds out her pin - which looks like a stylized flying squirrel of some sort (Rhyme's noise pin).

"You mean this? What's going on?"
Cirra Constantine has posed:
Cirra doesn't like getting the hairy eyeball like that, and it shows as she frowns. "What players, what game?" she looks between Rhyme and Sho, she takes a half step between the two to interpose herself physcially. THe story of knowing 'of' Sho and the Game.

"I don't really care what you think of my opinions. What I care about are your intentions here. If you plan to force the girl into..." she makes a face, "Sick game, I won't let you. If you leave, I'll over look this if you stay away from her."
Sho Minamimoto has posed:
"You think Shibuya was the only place the Game was played? Hah! You ignorant hectopascal!" Sho laughs. "Look. Shibuya's divided by zero. It's gone. Vanished. Erased. Nothing left." He shrugs. "It was a hell of a trip! As for you..."

Cirra intervenes and makes a threat. Sho glances over again, apparently unimpressed. "You're a real flat curve, aren't you? This girl here you're standing next to isn't even alive. She's dead, a Player in the Reaper's Game. And I'm the Game Master, which puts her under my domain."

He looks back to Rhyme. "But you're not even supposed to be dead. You were Erased. Dead-dead. Gone. And now you've derived yourself back in, somehow." He taps his chin, thinking.
Rhyme has posed:
"Well... It was a fairly good deal, even if it was horrible. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. And I guess the Players are the... Well, eggs. I'm dead. I died... in an accident. And then I went to the Underground, and played in a game to come back to life. Not bad, right? Getting to go back to your family..."

Rhyme smiles. "But I guess since you can see me, that's all changed. Though... Shibuya is gone? But my pare..."

Realization hits the girl, who goes ashen-faced. Tugging down her beanie, she wipes her nose a bit. "Well, I mean... Every cloud has a silver lining... Right?"
Cirra Constantine has posed:
Cirra glances down. She is a bzier curve at the least, thank you very much.

Looking back up at Sho, the frown stays palstered on her face. "Not alive?" THe undead have occasionaly risen in her world, but not like this. They're all shambling bones and rotting zombies. A quick glance at Rhyme confirms that the girl isn't either of those things.

"Reaper's game?" she questions. Then Rhyme says why she'd play the game, go back to your family. What if your family could come back to you? Cirra's perpetual frown softens slightly, red eyes unnarrowing a little. Is what this man saying true?

No, no. Thats not how it works. When something is taken, it's gone.

One hand rests on Rhyme's shoulder. "Dead or not. The girl is here, now. I don't know how this game worked where you were before, but the rules have changed. Everything has changed. She doesn't have to play your game anymore."
Sho Minamimoto has posed:
"HAH! HAHAHAHAHAA!" Sho laughs to himself, and then shakes his head. "Know what I do with silver linings?" He slams a fist into the opposite palm. "CRUSH! Right onto the heap! This world has no beauty!"

He wasn't even looking at Cirra's attributes. He's just a little manic. "Your opinion will also be CRUSHED!" He laughs. "I don't know where you think you're from, you factoring hectopascal, but I'm the Game Master. And as long as she's a Player... She has to play. The location isn't significant."
Rhyme has posed:
"Why would I play? I got erased again, and brought back. What do I have to play for? There's no prize any more, right? If Shibuya's gone, and I died too, then the game's over for me. But why..."

She shakes her head. "I just don't know why you care so much. Don't you have friends, family, coworkers of your own? Anyone you lost? Something better to do then to kill me... For a third time? I... I agree with her. Things have changed! ... Haven't they?"
Cirra Constantine has posed:
Sho flies off the handle.

Cirra can't say she's compeltely suprised by this.

"You heard her." Cira's foot moves, interposeing more of herself between Sho and Rhyme, "Leave. This isn't an opinion." a fist clenches at ehr side. It's seems the longer those goes on, the more emotional she gets.

"I'm not easy to crush."
Sho Minamimoto has posed:
"I don't work with the likes of /them/. None of them could even approach my vector! But we'll see if the proof of your solution is real or not." He grins once more. Cirra gets in his face, and he pulls back. "You talk big, but the content of your response comes zero as we reach the limit of U!" He turns, chuckling, and holds up a black cellphone. "I'll be calling. Ja ne, zeroes!"

At that, Sho strolls off, presumably to harrass some other poor saps.
Rhyme has posed:
As Sho leaves, Rhyme peeks out from behind Cirra, before smiling, hopping out from behind the judge, beaming at her. "Thanks a lot, miss. I'm Rhyme. Who are you? I guess you sort of got my story. I died, in an accident, and then became a player in the Reaper's Game. But that didn't turn out too well either... But I guess it worked out alright enough." Her smile continues, unabated, as she holds out her hand. "It's nice to meet you!"
Cirra Constantine has posed:
Cirra relaxes a bit as Sho finally leaves, she straightens up and turns to look at Rhyme. She crouches down a bit to bit onh te same level as the young girl. She smiles a bit, "Cirra." she holds out a hand and takes the girl's. "I've never heard of Reaper's Game before. How other worlds work is strange." Rhyme's optimism is... startling, for someone suposed to be not quiet dead. "I'm a Judge of Archadia, we're... sort of like the Police Officers in manhattan."
Rhyme has posed:
"Oh! I know what police are. Wow, I never thought an officer could look like you, though... I guess our police officers are like Manhattan's. That's in America, right?" She continues, before looking around. "I... Thanks a lot for protecting me. Do you want to come to the Cafe sometime? I'm sure Archadia is a really fascinating place to listen about!" She grins, pointing at the nearby WildKat cafe. "Apparently my friends hang out there, so I guess I'll hang out there. And if you seen a boy that looks like me? He's my partner! He uses a skateboard, and has the same beanie."

Her optimistic smile dims. "I saved him from a Noise, but I guess I died when I did it. I hope he didn't get Erased, too."
Cirra Constantine has posed:
Cirra looks at the Cafe, then back at Rhyme. She nods, "I'll come by some time. And I'll look out for your friend." When Rhyme's smile fades, So does Cirra's for a second. She stands up straight again.

She puts her hand on Rhyme's head. "You survived, So can he." she smiles again "You should go be with your friends." and turns to walk away.
