After the creation of the Shadow Portals that connect the worlds, Xanatos Enterprises set up an advanced trans-dimensional network that uses towers to bring communication to all who are ready and willing to pay for out. This item goes by the name Ma Belle, or sometimes just MaBelle.
Further methods of communication are of course, standard land-lines in Manhattan, mail-by-pidgeon, Moogle Mail, and the likes. However, Ma Belle is quickly taking over the mainstay of direct communication.
If something were to happen to the Shadow Portals, however, it is unknown as to if the Ma Belle system would continue functioning...
