Character Death

Feature Characters

Unless it is expected from the original theme/timeline of the source material, it is very unlikely that staff will consent to the death of most Feature Characters. The death of such a character not only has a dramatic effect on the game, but it closes the door for future players who may have wanted to interact with or apply for that character.

If you are considering playing out the death of a Feature Character, please contact the staff by means of +request at least two weeks prior to any planned event. You must have an OK from staff to kill off any Feature Character. In the case where staff does not wish to outright have a Feature Character killed, we may work with a player to have them written out of the story temporarily and brought back at a later time.

Original Characters

For Original Characters, we expect that character death will only be done with decent forethought and discussion with the players that the death may impact. Please be respectful of other players and give them the chance to tie up any loose-ends they need to with a character before playing out character death.

In the same manner as with Feature Characters, we ask that you please contact staff by means of +request at least two weeks before you plan on removing the character. You do not need to have approval from staff to kill off an Original Character, but if the character is heavily involved in global plot or otherwise important, we may need time to consider how to work things around a character who is no longer there.

Resurrection

While it is not uncommon within the theme of some of the source material of Final Kingdom for a character to die (or seemingly die) only to come back later (see: Disney Death) this is not a common thing we want to see happening on the Mush. If a character dies, they will likely stay dead, so please make sure you strongly consider your actions before killing off a character. A potential exception to this is the Reaper's Game - which would require you to contact us well ahead of time.
