Minerva has posed:
It was night here all teh time. Avira had lead Minerva here to this city and it seemed interestging enough but tonight Minerva had gone out on her own. The Monk had been curious she'd tried some of the local brews at one fo the pubs and was now saunting on with a single bottle of unopened ale in one hand. She was looking for a good spot to have a drink at. Still no one had heard of her world and the horror is starting to hit her, she's the soul surivor most likely.
Riku has posed:
Riku flips back and forth between the pages of a black journal he is holding in his hands. He frowns down at it, occasionally sitting down for a few minutes or turning the book sideways or even upside down to get a better vantage point. He huffs with annoyance, looking up to see Minerva sauntering around with a bottle in her hand. He pauses, closing the journal for a moment as he takes in her bearing and watches her approach with guarded curiosity. "Are you okay?"
Minerva has posed:
Minerva hasn't had more than a single mug of ale in the tavern. The Silver haird monk looks over at Riku and speaks with a strange accent those who had contract with people from the Earth nation known as England might find it she sounds like she's from there. "Okay? Such a strange word to use. If you are asking what my current state is I am alive prehaps the last one alive of my world and wondering why me."
Riku has posed:
"Oh." Riku leans back on the bench. He pauses for a moment as he thinks over what he does say to that. This doesn't seem to surprise him though, not as much as it would have at one point. After all, wasn't he in a similar boat? "Well." he asks, gesturing to the bench should she favor sitting down. "..Would you prefer it was someone else?"
Minerva has posed:
Minerva says "Just wondering why it was my self. I am no great Lady, no Knight, no Priest. No one of imporances." She was on the verge of being an outlaw or a bandit due to certain issues with a croupt Priest of all things. "I'm not complaining that I still draw breasth I only wonder why the gods chose me." She sits down and slumps into the bench a bit.
Riku has posed:
No wanting to weigh in on the caprice of gods, or even the existence of same, Riku asks instead. "What's your name?" he gestures to himself. "I'm Riku, and believe me.. you're not alone. A lot of people come here, and.. I'm guessing for many of the same reasons. Did you--" he tries to put this in a polite way. "--just arrive here?"
Minerva has posed:
Minerva says "Minerva, Minerva Alira." She holds the bottle of ale and doesn't open it yet. Riku may have come in at just the right time. "Just did this morning. I was lead here by two new companions but I wanted some time to my self. Beat ending up being mistkenly cut down by the Imperial Army for being a demon."
Riku has posed:
Riku nods. "Sounds like it. There are several empires that I know of, but Traverse Town is neutral territory to everybody so your safe here. It does get a lot of traffic though. So-- the merchants are happy, I guess." he smiles very slightly at this. "It's also easy to make connections here. It's pretty friendly here, if you've got at least a little tolerance to strange things and an open mind."
Minerva has posed:
Minerva says "It was in a strange land I think it was refered to as the Land of Dragons." It was an honest miss understanding given how she looked and her abilities. Well things tend to happen "Trade always was the life blood of my home which was a port city. Coin seemd to make the world go round much as a Priest's sermon seemed to. Strange thing I seen things like black hair or even red!"
Riku has posed:
Riku chuckles softly. "Yeah. It's.. strange what you can get used to after awhile. Talking ducks. Flying aircars. ..Magic." he quickly moves onto another subject. "I'm sorry to hold you up. You just-- looked a little lost. Have your companions found you a place to stay? It doesn't really change here-- so it can be a little disorienting about the time."
Minerva has posed:
Minerva says "Magic? Magic I know, it's things like the steel towers of Manhattan that scream the very cealing of the sky. That's just mind blowing. It's all right and I can rest where I will. So long as I'm not caught in the rain I shall be fine."
Riku has posed:
"It's more comfortable in a building, but no accounting for taste." Riku shrugs. "Just watch out for the taxis if you are ever in Manhattan again. Yellow and black vehicles of metal. They can be pretty mean if you don't watch them." Riku gets up from the bench, nodding to Minerva. "Are you.. sure you are going to be alright?"
Minerva has posed:
Minerva says "I shall be fine and really so that's what those beasts of Iron are called. Strange I shall be careful and wait thoses were ... machines?!" She stares eyes going wide in suprise. "I'll be fine but you made me remember something. Ale is best shared with friends, I should go find Maira and Avira rather than drink alone.:"
Riku has posed:
"Avira?" Riku smiles slightly. "Yes. That's a good plan, I think. Good night, Minerva." he snorts faintly. "Or-- as close to it as possible. Oh." he frowns slightly. "Another thing to be wary of. A lunatic has been sometimes appearing in Traverse Town, heaping things together into piles of junk and unleashing monsters on the population. Until someone manages to punch him squarely into last week, stay with Avira and those she considers friends. She's handled him before." Riku nods to Minerva, tucking the journal under his arm as he moves away.
Minerva has posed:
Minerva say, "Good night Riku and this city has no day? What a strange place this city is." She pauses for a moment "Hummm and really? I shall do so thank you for the warning." She tucks the bottle under her arm and heads of with a nod seeking her other companions out.
