In the shadows down in a low area of sanctum. The green mist is heavy here, covering the floor in a thick mess, as bits of electricity flicker through the mist, as it travels up chains along the stone walls. From the stairs coming down into the mist is a walkway that seems to safe to traverse, just slightly higher then the mist itself.

The pathway binds around and connects to a higher platform with a dark, black cauldron that sits upon it. The dark, green mist streams down from the cauldron. Near the Cauldron and pacing around is a green goblin like creature who perhaps only comes up to a grown man's calf. He paces around.

As he paces he keeps looking down into the thick mist and a few times adjusts his collar as if waiting for something. However he quickly skitters back as the mist starts to rise up at a point. His one good eye goes wide, before he grimaces to the side and then tries to smile. "S-Sire! I was worried that I may have messed up.. or.. was to late!" The goblin continues to move backwards until he realizes there is nothing left behind him beyond more of the green mist.

He grimaces at the fact he has run out of room, until he notices the shadow of the figure of the Horned King over him. Which he gulps gently, before he slowly looks up at his master. "You are-- looking well as ever Sire!"

When the Horned King moves closer he almost curls into a ball, until the shadowy figure moves past him and the creak of a door is heard opening. Then he winces again at the flicker of electric magic, as if trying to shield his eyes from the bright flash. "I-- I did well, didn't I sire?"

The Goblin continues to stay nervous as no respond comes until suddenly the shadow looms over him once more. He stares up with almost pleading eyes along with trying to smile at the same time. The robed figure steps in closer, before the figure moves past the goblin once more. His voice at last breaking the silence and the Goblin seeming to come at some ease as the Horned King speaks at last. "I believe one of Garland's students held an item of great importance." His voice echoes easily in the stone sanctum. "And several days have passed since my attack on Traverse Town. Including one of them calling me.. adept." His voice remains icly calm as he then starts to walk across the platform.

The Goblin following behind, but keeping some distance. "Adept, sire? You. Hahah. I suppose he must have been joking!"

"Hardly. He is a boy with darkness grafted into him. He is a fool and has no concept of the forces at work. I plan to make an example of him." The Horned King continues to speak in a calm voice, as he extends out his hands. The Mist slowly starts to turn and move as if being summoned. "However that will come in time. I have other preparations to make." He then sharply raises up his arms, closing his hands as the dark green mist flashes upward into the air. Soon undead warriors start to stand up from the mist, slowly climbing their way out.

By this point the Goblin suddenly moves quickly close to the Horned King. Using his master as some protection from the newly wakened undead warriors. "I-I gathered those books like you asked me to, Sire. On the culture and technology."

"..Good." The Horned King says as he lowers his arms, watching his undead army walk up the stairs and out the door. "All things are still going according to plan."

"Plan, Sire?" The Goblin asks seeming a bit confused. He glances up and counts on his four fingers the amounts of time they have lost so far and then looks at his other for how many times they have won. So far. They have lost.

"You will see in time." The Horned King simply replies as he too then starts to make his way up the steps. "As I have all eternity..."
