A Force, or Alignment as it may be referred to at times, is not so much a character's intentions, but the actions they take.

Their Fate, their Destiny, the Divine Providence - whatever it may be, they are inevitably tied to either of three groups; Those who seek the restoration of the worlds which have fallen at the hands of the heartless, those who seek - or whose actions inevitably will result in - their fall, or those who are either too wavering or complex in mind to be defined by the other two.

A character will be in one of these upon creation, and is 'unlikely' to change from Force of Restoration to Force of Ruin - and vice versa - although it is not an impossible occurrence. It is what ties all these together in the grande scheme of things. Narratively, it are these who are most likely to 'join forces'.

There will be situations where those of the Restoration alignment will stay out of a fight if they don't agree with their Group's Ruin decisions or may even seek to temporarily join the other side in such a conflict. It's 'reasonably' for this to happen at times - within reason.

In very basic terms, this also means that, if you are a citizen of Vector, you might be in a 'Ruinous' group, but still be 'good' yourself. Association does not make an alignment. It's the actions your character takes, or will take! If you are unsure of your character's eventual intention of fate, we suggest to list as Wandering Force.

[edit]

Forces of Restoration

The Forces of Restoration are those people whose actions will eventually end up assisting in the restoration of the Worlds, or aim to fight off the Heartless. Some of these may not be grande people - but their actions will end up making a difference. They do not need to be of purest light. They don't even need to have a strong heart. As long as their actions lead to Restoration, rather than Stagnation or Ruin.

These are your Princesses of Hearts, your Clouds, your Aeriths, your Ramzas and your Edges.

Forces of Ruin

The Forces of Ruin are those who desire power for the sake of power - or at the expense of others. Those whose hearts might be controlled by the Heartless or the Shadow Lords. They want conquest, or are only out for themselves. Or perhaps they are just helping the wrong people, because they believe those people are right. Not to be confused with those who help, with the intention of one day to take up arms against those who would do bad.

These are your Sephiroths, your Kefkas, but also your Vayne Solidor and Gastons.

Wandering Force

The Wandering Force comprises of people who are not among the Forces of Ruin, nor the Forces of Restoration. They are your merchants, your citizens. They are people who assist, but take no active role in either saving or destroying anything or anyone.

These are your Maurices, your Jack Sparrows, your Fox and your Setzers.
