Consider that, unless it's expected from original timeline, it's very unlikely we'll consent to FCs dying. For OCs, we'll expect the player to not do so without decent forethought, and probably discussion with the players this may impact. If you are thinking of letting a character die, in general, try to approach staff about it first.
