Synopsis: | Will seeks aid from the Arcadian Military for Manhattan |
Cast of Characters: | Will Sherman, Cirra Constantine |
Tinyplot: | In A New York Minute |
- Will Sherman has posed:
Will doesn't have much time, he knew coming out here to Rabanastre was a risky plan, but he didn't have any other choice. Hitting the desert, Will moved like the wind, pushing himself as fast as he could. His powers favored him whenever they could, a lucky break got him a nice (though hot) wind, he managed to find a few good places to rest that he didn't know about, and eventually managed to avoid the major monsters.
About the time he hits Rabanastre, he is doubling over in exhaustion. He's pushed himself hard to get here, on the off chance that he'd be able to see someone he'd consider a friend in the off chance they could help Manhattan.
He grabs his canteen full of water and dumps it over his head. He looks like he ran the whole way here, as he crosses the finish line (or really half way point) into the city.
"I...I am never...doing...this again.."
- Cirra Constantine has posed:
"Yuo should really drink that, instead of wasting it by dumping it on your head." comes a female voice. The Judge it comes from is sitting atop a crate with another to her back and her side toth e wall of the gate's passage way. One leg bent so she can prop her hands on the knee.
"Dehydration is your worst enemy in the desert." The scythe is resting against her shoulder as if proped their casually.
"Of course you could just take a caravan."
- Will Sherman has posed:
Will doesn't immediately respond, taking the thing into his mouth and downing it into it. It takes him some time, but finally he gasps for air, and manages to spill very little water. He looks red, defintely some heat exhaustion going on, and he manages to chuckle faintly at the voice.
"Yeah, well, it makes me feel better, and I can use all of that I can get this time." he says, with a frown.
"Lucky that I met you here," he says, "Because I really need to talk to you...and ask a favor. We...Manhattan has problems. Big problems."
- Cirra Constantine has posed:
Cirra turns her head to look at Will, "Lucky?" Cirra always ends up on gate duty, or on exploration, or something else considerd menial to a Judge.
A tilt of ehr her armored head displays that her attention has been caught. "Go on."
- Will Sherman has posed:
Will grins a bit at her...but it's far from mirithal like he normally is.
"It's a long story, so forgive me if I cut out some unimportant bits." Will says, "But Mercade is missing, I have no idea where...supposedly he was last seen going after a clue about Riku going missing."
"Then...all hell broke loose. Heartless activity started going up, but an accident happened that released a LOT more. It's so bad that they are swarming at night, and even noticiable during the day. The police and military are doing the best that they can...and we're doing everything we can too.."
He takes a breath, "We need help. You're the only one I know that could possibly give the aid we need. Everyone in the TDA has been going non-stop...hell even the Shard Seekers are there, and..." he takes a breath, trying to calm himself.
"I don't know how much longer we can hold on. It feels like we're being stretched thin on purpose."
- Cirra Constantine has posed:
News about the Heartless actions makes Cirra frown, you can't really see it but the way her head tilts implies it. "The military of Manhatten has powerfull weapons, does it not? The machines called Tanks and Helicopters?" if the heartless are swarming in such numbers...
Her head turns, looking into Rabanastre. "...I don't think my country will help. It is... Difficult to see beyond the problems of your own borders. Unless you can convince Judge Magister Zargabaath."
- Will Sherman has posed:
Will sighs...of course...
"Tanks are really not effective if the things can turn into shadow, they also would do more damage in Manhattan than help. Helicopters are already being used, but these are large things, and these things can be anywhere they want, at anytime. Sure it'll help against the big ones, but..." he pauses.
"I don't have time. I don't...I ran here, I am going to push myself to get back. I have to be there...I just needed to contact someone here. If you could tell him of our plight for us..." he says, pleeding.
Will takes another drink.
- Cirra Constantine has posed:
Cirra sighs a bit, "If you go back out there like that, you'll die of dehydration." she pushes off hte crate and stands up. She walks over to Will and hooks a hand under his arm, pulling up to his full height. "I'll rent you a chocobo and get you another flask of water. It won't do to have someone die on my watch."
"I'll talk to the Magister."
- Will Sherman has posed:
Will does not resist the help, giving her a smile.
"Thanks." he breathes out, it's going to be a bit of time for him to recover, but the way back will at least be easier. Maybe it's his luck again...
Nah, this one is pure kindness. "Then I'll get back and hold the line...I trust you'll be there for me." he says, giving her a more genuine smile. That certainly will not come back to haunt her for weeks.
Certainly not.
- Cirra Constantine has posed:
Certainly not.
"You might as well load up on supplies while your here. Just don't take mroe then a chocobo - or horse - can carry." Cirra offers in advice. "If he situation is as desperate as you say, they could be invaluable."
- Will Sherman has posed:
Will nods to Cirra, "Alright...thanks." Will says, with a smile.
"Thank you again. I know I am asking alot.."
