- Deelel has posed:
It's night, the city was full of lights at night it made Deelel less homesick. She often was up in the later hours she'd been working to fix the various gaming machines that been damaged so far as she knows there's worlds like her own in there just they can't be accessed. The light cycle game always made her raise and eyebrow though, not to mention the ones that had the tanks and the Reconqinzers as well but right now? She's out on the roof a little bothere dby the cold but enjoying looking up at the city skyline.
"So, some basic I am. Tron, or any of the other gardian programs would have done better. Then me, maybe Lexus is right I'm glitching just like him...will I become something like him?"
- Leida has posed:
The recent events centering around the Heartless invasion into Manhattan have left large portions of the city in chaos. With people afraid to leave their homes even for basic necessities, the arcade has likely been mostly silent for the past few days, leaving the program ample time to go about her work.
The lights that she gazes upon aren't all from the city's power grid. Fires burn unchecked in some areas where the fighting is the worst. The docks in particular have devolved into little better than a warzone thanks to the careful machinations of the dark lord Garland, though no one is aware of the subtle touch of his influences here, not even the proxy for his plans.
Leida's influence is in part responsible for much of the surface activity of the Heartless, however, a more focused sinister plot brews in the catacombs below. A perfect storm of darkness has begun to form with the unfortunate inhabitants of the city caught in the middle.
The dark girl is not here at present but Heartless still roam wildly throughout many parts of the city. The sudden whirr of engines erupts nearby, tires squealing as something tears through the streets with reckless abandon. Several crashes and the sound of shattering glass precede their apperance but within a few moments a handful of shadowy motorcycles whip around the bend a few blocks away.
Large burly Heartless clad in studded leather jackets sit atop the dastardly machines, their beady yellows eyes glaring out from the darkness of concealing biker helmets. Thick iron chains hang from their bodies like jewelry and the trio whip them about above their heads like lassos, smashing car windows and crashing into whatever gets in their way.
No one is outside tonight for these monsters to prey upon so they take their frustrations out on everything in sight and it looks like they're coming towards the arcade. It won't be long before they spot the stargazer. No rest tonight, it seems.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel has been on alert with the heads up the TDA has given the Shard Seekers and other groups abotu what's going on this is why she's here in Manhattan more so than just haappening to live here. She pauses as she sees heartless down on the steets below. She stares for a moment at them, they are on bikes they are coming to the arcade and she makes a face.
"Looks like I'm not going to get a rest cycle tonight. If they want to game lets do it."
She pulls her light rod off her thigh and forms the bike abotu herself and it speeds off the roof landing on the road and she's heading right for the monsters on her bike as she goes the light wall comes to life.
"Let's see what you nullunits got!"
- Leida has posed:
The flashy entrace of the aptly named light-cycle quickly draws the attention of the rampaging Heartless bikers, their helmets turning as one to find the source of the sudden illumination. As the challenge is called out to them, they snort loudly, exhaust fumes billowing from their visors and the loud roar of their unholy engines answers back.
One after the other, in column formation the three monstrous marauders gun their bikes to full power. They weave back and forth, amongst each other as they approach, heavy chains swinging overhead menacingly as they close for battle.
The head of the line gives a fierce roar at the last moment, his growls unnaturally echoing through the empty streets. Windows shatter from the force of the call, car alarms honking and wailing their klaxons in retaliation. The thick arm swings wide at Deelel, throwing its entwined chain out to try and smash the front of her cycle as it speeds past. The two others come up swiftly behind, adding their own swift smashes at the digital vehicle, splitting to strafe her from both sides at once.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel is very good at drawing attention of the heartless and it's time to take them on a little ride. She's got a durable enough machine to be sure. A Normal bike might have spun out from the hit it took however chain do connect and cause what looks like some strange form of cracking on the bike. It's still good however it's still moving anf she sees more coming after her.
"Oh let me show you something."
The light wall comes on again and she's now trying o seave in and out of the pack turing the road into a maze of light for the following heartless.
- Leida has posed:
The Heartless cackle as their chains bite into the sleek light-cycle but their smugness is short lived. The much faster program whips past the three heavier bikes, turning the road ahead into a neon maze of doom.
The dark creatures are quite skilled and the leader snorts exhaust again as he leans forward and deftly manuevers through the glowing walls, followed closely by his fellows. At the last moment, however, the straggler in the group fails to make a turn away from one of the deadly barriers and crashes into it at full speed. A powerful explosion rocks the streets as the motorcycle's fuel ignites into a towering fireball, destroying several parked cars nearby as its flaming wreckage showers the intersection.
The Heartless seem undisturbed by the loss of their own and quickly navigate out of the maze, driving up onto the layer of parked cars lining the side of the streets to get above the light walls. Even though these monsters cannot speak, whispering voices begin to plague the program as she speeds along, vile incantations that weave into her receptors and through her code to sap the strength away.
Moments later the lead biker roars into the air as fire erupts from the chrome metal pipes on his hog, launching the massive machine into the air. Impossibly, the Heartless and his ride begin to pitch forward and spin, building up incredible speed and becoming a wheel of black death as it crashes down towards her.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel is disturbed by the heartless these ones seem to be smarter than the other ones she's run into before. She however well has a suprise for them. The Walls don't last forever she's quick to turn them off. After all a user might be out late and that's the last thing she wants on her head. She's however manaes to take out several already. She's more concerned about lives than she is property the system can be repaired a program or a user can't be replaced. Barring user intervention from a backup restore. She again moves after the bikers this time however? She's going to play it rough trying to slam into theirt machine with her own rather than use the light wall.
- Leida has posed:
The Heartless leader skids to the side as the light-cycle rams into it, crumpling some of the metal frame on impact and then again as it sparks and grinds against the row of parked cars. Like bumpers in a bowling lane, the vehicles provide a surface to careen off and back into the center of the street. The insurance companies are going to have anuerism when this is all over.
The other remaining biker moves from behind as the intervening light walls disappear, the two menacing creatures closing in from each side. Together they attack back, slamming their heavier rides towards the light-cycle to try and crumple its front end. Their thick arms lash out as well, dark clawed hands raking at Deelel's body and trying to pull some of her lively essence into the endless hungering emptiness.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel has had a lot go bad for her right now and she's neeing o get some distance between her and the heartless. She revee the engione a bit mroe and speeds on ahead. She attemps to get ahead but two slam into her and it's pretty bad, as they just do bad things to the canopy of the bike. It's not looking so good and she floors it agan trying to pull ahead just for a moment.
- Leida has posed:
The two Heartless roar beastially as the program pulls away from them, firing up their hogs with load roars from the demonic engines. Flames belch from the pipes, dirty black exhaust choking the night air with the smell of sulfur.
The leader motions his companion forward and the smaller creature rushes to overtake Deelel. Instead of passing her, though, he tries to ram her bike from behind, raking the side of the light-cycle with dark fire. Its chain swings up and around a few times as well, slamming down at the battered craft with hammering blows as the battle tears through the streets at breakneck speed.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel is wondering what has the heartless so blatantly out today she pulls a sharp turn trying to get them to follow and she's just a bit too fast for them as the attacks miss her. She thinks for a moment there's no signs of any other user craft so once again the lightwalls come on for a moment. The barriers of light snap into existance in the wake of the cycle. "Come on...."
- Leida has posed:
The sudden reappearance of the glowing energy barrier catches the biker offguard, punishing the Heartless for his overaggressive attack. The large bike plows straight into the trailing edge of the light wall and both rider and craft are carved nearly down the middle before exploding extravagantly into a pillar of flame and debris.
Alone now, the Heartless biker leader plows through the thick cloud of smoke and fire, still focused on chasing down the evasive program. A few pieces of the deadly shrapnel from the explosion protrude from its body but the wounds don't seem to bother it any or slow it down and the large chopper inexorably begins to close the distance between them.
Another window shattering howl announces its murderous intent and the creature barrels through a wave of falling glass to strike at the light-cycle again. Both of its arms rise up, twin chains whirling in counterpoint to each other like the blades of a helicopter. With a deadly whoosh of air, they crash down one after the other.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel cuts the light walls again after a moment she's using it in bursts, this is uncomon for a basic enaged in combat ith a light cycl to do but this is a different world after all. She sees she's managed to widdow the heartless down to the leader. This one does seem smarter it makes her wonder about their nature. SEnough musing on the nature of the void she guns it again shifting her machine to the left just enough to evade the attack. It's close she can see the heartless through the canopy and she attmps to once the Heartless is recover to drive it off the road!
- Leida has posed:
The counter attack fails to find purchase, however. As its chains bite into the road, the shadowy boss grunts and reduces speed, letting Deelel careen off to the side and it quickly moves up from the other side for another pass.
With a loud growl of protest, the massive motorcycle tilts backwards in wheelie as it approaches. Fire from the exhaust launches it into the air several feet like a rocket and the heavy machine comes crashing violently back down at the slender game vehicle. Clearly the aim here is to use its much bigger size to smash the opponent to pieces.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel isn't so lucky this time the canopy of the bike is partially dererzzed from teh sudden impact and there's flames doing worst to it. She's still got a chance though she looks up at the machine through tbe broken fizzling canopy and pulls back. She reaches back and pulls her light disk off her back and throws it.
"Hey tell me do you game much virus?!"
- Leida has posed:
As the bike crashes down with a grinding crunch, winding together with the light-cycle, the Heartless turns its helmeted head to glare down at the program. A wide clawed hand reaches out for her, trying to pull Deelel into its powerful grasp.
The glowing discus cuts that plan short, buzzing smoothly first through the umbral fingers and then into its chest, punching a neat hole completely through its misshapen body. The creature howls and then evaporates in a puff of thick black mist that vanishes into the air in a few moments, leaving only the battered remnants of its ride behind.
The computerized weapon ricochets across a few street lamps before gracefully returning to its owner. With the threats neutralized, she has a moment to take stock of the carnage that the battle has left behind. Cars and windows a plenty were lost in this heroic struggle but that seems to have been the only casualities. These things can be replaced.
- Deelel has posed:
Deelel slows her bike down and catches the disk as it returns she can only stare for a momernt seeing the Heartless is no more shslooks about for a moment reaing the bit of the mess she made. Still it's better then a number of people devoured which likely would mean more heartless. They are a user space virus right? Viri don't destroy the croupt, infest, tait. She sighs turns her machine around hopehing things will be safe for the forseeable future. She's sadly very mistaken and will find this out shortly.
