System Update
Date of Scene: 18 December 2012
Location: Traverse Town
Synopsis: After getting Faruja to somewhere he can sleep his drinks off Deelel and TRON go to the Wild Katt to talk and catch up on what's going on with both of them and their home on the Grid
Cast of Characters: Deelel, TRON

Deelel has posed:
Faruja was now safely somewhere to sleep things off and with that handled Deelel had lead TRON to the cafe. The owner had shown in the past he respected people's need for privacy and the food was intresting. She was suprise she could use it to refuel here but that was for the best really. She had picked out one o the booths at the back and sat down, setting a pair of menus on the table incase Tron wanted anything.

"I have a lot to tell you..." She frowns, it's clear some of it's bad news.
TRON has posed:
TRON, going under the alias 'Alan', always expects bad news these days. It's simply easier, you see.

He flicks through a menu half-heartedly, not really anticipating much in the way of sustinance but understanding he needs something in his proverbial system. "Indeed." He glances up at Deelel over the rims of his glasses. "You have my full attention."
Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "I was a prisnor of Sark he scooped me up with a number of others because we were trying to contact our users at an I/O tower." She looks a bit ashemed "I'm just a multi media program really I and the others Yuritawere lucky to surive the games as long as we did. We were broken out by a Basic IDed as Yurita. She's some sort of rogue but not a danger to the system. She broke us out mid transit and we escaped with her help. We broke up, I'm not sure of the otehr's status but at least some out there likely resisting in some fashion."

She'll place her order just something small. She's picked up at least one user habit since she arrived here.

"I had been hiding in an old data storehouse when I encounted an entire Blackguard Patrol decimated by a lone program, named LEXUS he claimed he had no love for MCP and had heard of there might be a way to another system. I had no idea what he was at the time and given he's had no sign of his real nature. I ventured into an old part of the gird the code there was unstabled coming apart. I had the Backguard after me, even with how bad the terrain was they kept coming for some time. They finally seemed to give up and I found what was an ... lab. It had access to a Digtization laser. I had hoped to use it to reach aother system, to find help."

What MCP had said to her echoed through her mind. <Prehaps you are a useful fool.>

"MCP had used me to test it to see if one of our kind could surive, he contacted me to gloat as the upload process started. I awoke in an old building called Flynn's Arcade in Manhattan."

There's more to come but she's taking a breather, also giving Tron time to ask any questions.
TRON has posed:
Alan's eyes light up as puzzle pieces start coming together. "I see. So that is how the MCP figured out how to escape The Grid through Flynn's Arcade."

He takes a moment to order a carbonated drink and a sandwich before returning his attention to Deelel. "What happened next?"
Deelel has posed:
Deelel frowns "He used me and I should have seen it coming. I thought I'd just had lucked out to be honest..." She seems ashamee of how she got use. "I was lost for several days, confused at the chaos of this level of existnace. I met Users, none of them knew what I was. I made friends a few know what I am I'm not sure if they fully understand. LEXUS turned out to be a virus and worse? He's with the ones who destroyed Manhattan before the seige he came to the arcade. Made me an offer to step side, let him take the server and the laser. He'd claimed he'd leave me be. I told him he could get glitched. I tried to fight him, he crushed me and attempted to ... consume me for my functions. I barely evaded that, I woke up in the grid and a moment later the laser powered up and I found my self in the Shinra Tower in Goug. Operatioces it the Shinra company had stolen the laser and the server from LEXUS and are intent on studying it. I ... had little choice to make a deal with them to help them in exchange for contiuned access to the grid. What could I do I was the only one between LEXUS and the grid..."
TRON has posed:
Alan listens very carefully, his brow knitting as puzzle pieces start falling rapid-fire now. Too quickly, actually, and he holds one black-gloved hand up. "Wait a moment." He taps a fingertip against the table at each point. "First, the MCP tricked you into going through Flynn's Arcade to Manhattan. Two, this other being--this LEXUS--defeated you, throwing you back into The Grid before stealing the laser. Three, you got back through only to find yourself in a completely different world again, this time in this 'Goug'. And four, you had to make a deal with this 'ShinRa' in order to continue using the laser that did not belong to them in the first place?"

He runs one hand through his hair with a low groan. "That explains so much..."
Deelel has posed:
Deelel nods "He claimed I was more intreasting than he thought. LEXUS that was, a media program who thought she could be a security program. I'm sorry I admit they are a unknown but they are no ally of the Shadow Lords and LEXUS. Better I'm there to watch them least they blunder into something." She takes a deep breath for a moment. "The man who was the leader of the Shinra strike team indicate his employers considered LEXUS a threat at least. Far as they knew it was tech belonging to LEXUS till umm I was rezzed out fo the grid infront of Reno. I have made some allies...whom I have found trust worthy. Still it sounds like you have a story to tell..."

Maybe LEXUS is right she's glitching hardcore and could even be croupted and not really realise it? Was she a virus waiting to happen...like LEXUS had become?
TRON has posed:
Alan removes his glasses, pinching the bridge of his nose while squeezing his eyes shut tight. A habit he has picked up from /somewhere/, though Users know exactly when and how he got it. "At least I now know where it is, at least in name. And at least you are able to use that connection to check on The Grid." Since he cannot.

The waitress returns with their food and drinks and he absently sips at the carbonated drink he had chosen. "My story?" He chuckles softly. "What do you wish to know?"
Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "I can get you in to the grid you jut need to ask. I will wrangle a way in as you being an expert I found if I have to. As for your story yes, when it looked like I was about to be Drezzed...the only thing I could think or way was that you were alive and out there. That you lived and some day you'd find him. he seemed to think otherwise about your status." She takes a bite of her meal and then thinks for anotehr moment "I would like to very much know your story Alan. Have any of the Encom users been found. I think any of them, could help us, I had...no luck finding mine."
TRON has posed:
Alan folds his arms on the tabletop, staring through the table between them. He says nothing for now on the offer of 'free' transportation between ShinRa and The Grid, but he certainly doesn't refuse it. It just takes more time than available now to fully consider such options.

"Before I begin, Deelel, tell me. What has The Grid been led to believe about my operational status?"
Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "The last I knew was you were in one of Sarks other gaming arenas. Given how long I been out what I know may be out of date. Look anything you need of me you have it. In my foolishness seeking help I put the grid at more risk and even put the users at Risk." There's no way she can know LEXUS has always had another way out of the grid for a very long time...before he poked Deelel at the other laser. "So last I knew still giving Sarks BSODs."
TRON has posed:
Alan shook his head. "You did exactly what I considered doing myself. But first things first..."

He leans back in his chair, his gaze turning towards the ceiling. "Yes, I was in the Games--Sark's personal sector, I believe. The circumstances of my escape were... unique, to say the least. My code was hacked, accessed by a User I did not recognize, and he uploaded new data into my systems that made me stronger--gave me a newfound purpose connected to my original function. I was able to break out and took some Programs with me and we formed a resistance, but we had scarcely had time to reorganize when there was a beacon of light in the sky and the Darkness attacked."

His mouth presses into a thin line. "So, we fought. Sometimes against the Blackguards, sometimes against Heartless. Then, one day, Flynn's Arcade appeared." He pauses here to get a bite to eat, letting Deelel have a chance to follow his own story.
Deelel has posed:
Deelel takes in the tail with a good deal of attention she pauses as a user upgraded Tron? That was interesting that seemed to have been a good thing. "Good to hear that happened and the darkness." She frowns "I seen no sign of the heartless on the grid. This is worrysome to say the least." She goes quiet to listen to the rest of the tale.
TRON has posed:
Alan frowns as well. "Perhaps the Heartless has left The Grid alone to focus on other places... but I digress."

He releases a low exhale. "I lost track of the cycles after that, but Flynn's Arcade showed up some time later. I had a feeling it had something to do with the Users, because the name 'Flynn' is identical to the User who had hacked my code." His jaw sets for a moment. "Though I didn't know the whole story before now, I knew the MCP had accessed Flynn's Arcade. After ensuring my group could continue the fight without me, I slipped through after the MCP into Manhattan."

He falls silent, absentmindedly swirling his drink. "I lost track of the MCP in Manhattan after that, and the laser was stolen before I could return. On top of that, the Darkness invaded Manhattan and I found myself here during the evacuation."

He points his glass towards Deelel. "You are the first Program I've encountered since leaving the Grid, and I cannot find any of /our/ Users either--Flynn, Alan-One, none of them."
Deelel has posed:
Deelel listens and pauses "Wait that must have been why the door was unlocked that one time when I came home." She facepalms "Why didn't I think of that. I'd been living in the Arcade untill the city fell." She nods a little bit "I know mine last spoke to me and they were cut off of mid command. There's one other program from the grid, he's Military his name is CHIEF, he's very very angry at the users. To the point of violence he's dropped hints they repuprosed him several times. I have no idea what he's up to other than he's not viral. That's about all I can confirm, I seem him be civil or try to jack a user reconiger to cause havoc."
TRON has posed:
Alan nods slowly. "I will stay on the lookout for CHIEF and LEXUS, then." He sighs, picking at his food. It isn't bad, but it certainly isn't Grid energy. It is certainly one of the few times he allows himself to feel homesick, if only for a few brief moments.

He straightens back up, pushing aside the nearly-empty drink glass. "I have a feeling the MCP may have retreated back to The Grid, but if there are Programs out here causing havoc I can't follow him back yet. But if The Grid as a whole still believe me to be trapped in the Games or derezzed, I still have some options to consider."

He removes his glasses, holding them in one black-gloved hand while he studies Deelel carefully. So far, he has no indication to distrust her... "Can I rely on you to keep me informed on events within The Grid, Deelel?"
Deelel has posed:
Deelel says "You should both are a danger really and honestly it's nice to meet someone from back home who doesn't want to drezze me or consume me." She admits before going back to her food. "I know I think the process bringing us here altered us somhow so we could suirve I seen things altered between worlds.I don't know myh information is out of fate." She nods "Yes, I'll make sure to visit it as oftena s i'm able. Also I'm starting to look up information on the heartless they seem to be user space Viri."
