A Little Lost L'Cie Is Found
Date of Scene: 13 May 2013
Location: Palumpolum
Synopsis: After months of hunting for a l'Cie - any of them - Jihl Nabaat and PSICOM finally come across the uncrystalized Serah Farron. Terrible things occur.
Cast of Characters: Jihl Nabaat, Serah Farron

Jihl Nabaat has posed:
There had been a missing person report listed in PSICOM ever since a certain crystallized l'Cie had managed to lose her casing and escape. As such, when there is a rumor of her - just a rumor - Jihl Nabaat has left the PSICOM offices.

The few squads left roam Palumpolum, and Jihl walks alone - this is both arrogance, and both hope that the girl will be running from the troops...
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron has been on the run. Well, not chased away per se. It seems that PSICOM had other things to worry about than a statue made out of crystal forgotten in the back end of a warehouse. So that's how she slipped out, quite a while ago actually. No one was really looking for her, and no one seemed to know or care about l'Cies either. This has been a nice boon for the runaway l'Cie at least.

But no, what she was running away from constantly are heartless. For some reason they seem to be drawn to her repeatidly, so that's been most of her headache. Plus the fact she has no idea what her focus is precisely, although she keeps seeing images of Cocoon, lonely in the sky.

Its mostly happenstance that she ended up running into Palumpolom, weeks after she left it. Still looking for a weapon of her own, a bow, she's been following words of people on where she could find a decent one, perhaps tailor made for her abilities and physique.

At least, it seems the heartless has given up chasing her right now, so she's a face among the crowd... and perfectly dressed for the Cocoon town too.
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
PSICOM has many things to worry about, most of them revolving around the exact same heartless that are chasing Serah Farron. Serah is not exactly commented on - being in Palumpolum, she is one of the ones most easily able to fit in here, and does like a glove. However, that does not mean she is safe.

"Lt. Colonel, I've got a match."

"Set up a perimeter - cover all the streets, and get people up on the rooftops." Jihl instructs, moving steadily through the crowd. Most of the people part for her, while those from other worlds, coming in to visit, just look at her curiously. Pink hair... pink hair... ah/ha/.

There.
Serah Farron has posed:
The last thing on her mind was being attacked by people in this city, honestly. She was just taking a rest from the heartless, and then...

Surrounded. She blinks, looking around. Her upper arm is wrapped, so there's no sign of her branding, it just looks like a normal wound patched up really. "What do you want, what's going on?" She looks a bit alarmed of course.
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
Oh, it's not an /attack/.

Merely a wonderfully fun game of... hide and seek. Jihl pushes through the PSICOM forces, looking down at Serah with a small, almost thoughtful smile. She confers with the folks back at the actual PSICOM base about the woman she's standing in front of, and as she gets the confirmation of a look-alike match of her face and the crystal form, Jihl tilts her head forward.

"We were wondering where you wandered off too, my little crystal." Jihl murmurs, her voice practically a purr - she is smiling kindly, the glasses on, promoting an air of worry and care about Serah.
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron takes a look around her, seeing everyone being in the way of any escape. Well, any non-violent one at least. She then blinks, looking at Jihl, and the way she just 'purrs' at her like that. Well, how about trying to play innocent a bit, see how that works out for her "I have no idea what you're talking about." She looks sincere enough too as she says that. Not like she really knows what happened while she was asleep either.
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
Jihl smiles more brightly, but it doesn't, as always, reach her eyes. "You don't? Such a shame." She clucks her tongue. She does lean in however, giving Serah a very thorough look-over, her eyes glinting in amusement as she notices the band wrapped around her upper arm.

"Hiding a secret from your city, dear?"
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron is covering something on her arm, its for certain. She looks down a bit though. She's not that good at lies either "No, I'm not. Even if I would, what does it matter to you?" She's not sure she wants to have anything to do with these people, considering how they attacked Bodhum before, just for her, and sent many people to get purged like that.
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
"It matters a lot." Jihl says, suddenly more businesslike than she was before. "Especially since I know what you are... what that is hiding." It is a very big bluff - For all Jihl knows, it might not actually be her l'Cie brand, but --

A guess still has at least a minute chance of being right.

"You still want to serve your world, don't you?"
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron frowns. Well, she probably knows that much if she recognized her. She's bitten the bluff, but she's not showing her brand either "What do you mean by serving my world?" She doesn't even have a 'world' here, she's been around enough to know about it, and even though Cocoon is there, things that used to be there aren't there anymore. Bodhum is not even in the same world than Eden. There's not much making sense of it all.

There's not even any Pulse in fact... even if she was a Pulse l'Cie, what would it change?
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
Jihl pinches her nose. "You're the /only/." Jihl says, emphasizing the last word; "Known l'Cie that we still had sight of as of the world fall. We're literally spread so thin that keeping our eyes on you and what vestiges that may be out there - what beings that be out there trying to continue to hurt the world...s..." She adds on ...

"It makes you a person of interest, so... finding you really is the best."
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron crosses her arms at that. Well, maybe she can get some information from this person. She doesn't know of Jihl, she might have crossed her before without paying attention, her sister was in the Corps after all. But she doesn't know how much she can trust her either. "...But what for, what use would a l'Cie be to you?" Especially a Pulse l'Cie. But wait... "... Does that mean you have no news about my sister either?"
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
"I haven't." Jihl says, heavily. As a matter of fact, the only one she still has is Dajh and even that one is debatable, seeing as how Serah broke her own Crystal Stasis. It is actually slightly angering for Jihl.

"So, non, you are important - even if you are a l'cie." She wrinkles her nose.
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron keeps her arms pointedly, analyzing every reaction. But she's not that good at reading people either. She shakes her head "... How long has it been anyway..." She wonders. The city hasn't changed much, despite not being in the same place of course. "And what do you want from me then." She's not denying the whole l'Cie anymore, if that's meaning anything anymore. She just doesn't see the point right now. But she's still weary of the guards around her "... and why are you so careful, think I'll run away?
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
Jihl shakes her head. "A few months." She says, her voice raw. "Closer to half a year. We were... lucky. The Primarch remains alive, so even though we have lost all but Eden and Palumpolum, we at least maintain some semblance of ... well, normalcy." She smiles, a brittle look.

"As for what I want, it is more what the Primarch wants." She rolls her shoulders. "You already did once." She points out.
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron sighs as she's reminded about that "Maybe I did once, but its not like I had much choice. I didn't even do much, it was more like I was bait to drag people along." She glares a bit at that "I rather not be used that way again." She can stand on her own, she can even use magic, and learned to fight a bit too. "And what does the Primarch wants with a Pulse l'Cie?" Actually, she doesn't even know what she's supposed to do, or even if it counts as a Pulse l'Cie anymore, considering... well... no Pulse or Cocoon.
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
"We would just like to keep track of you. Do you have a radio system?" Jihl asks, gently. "It is more for your own safety; I imagine you are perfectly capable of taking care of yourself, but..." She shrugs one slim shoulder, crossing her arms across her chest.

"That is all the Primarch has asked of me. Normally we would... try to keep you close, but..." She shrugs.
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron tilts her head "... But what?" She looks down at her hip. She has one of those phones, Nik helped her, so he could keep contact. Mostly in case they ever find her 'potential hot sister', but whatever. It's good to have contact with someone sometimes, especially if lost or in trouble.

He'd be much more like Snow if he wasn't a shameless skirt chaser. Le sigh.

She picks up her phone "... Yeah, I have one."
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
"Good. If you ever need help, here is my personal number, as well as the one to the PSICOM forces." Jihl takes a notepad and scribbles on it, ending in a extravagant scrawl of words, before handing it over to Serah.

"But, what -- but normally that would mean we're in a world where everything made sense. It does not now. Keeping l'cie confined is not as important any more." Even if that is something that pisses Jihl off. "So, your freedom is gained."
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron points to the guards around her then "... So what about them needing to surround me?" She hasn't shown any agressivity, even if she was ready. Her hand had some magical energy ready to be released, but doesn't seem like that'd be necessary at all at least.

She pockets away the paper with the number, she'll enter it into the phone later... could be useful. At least it doesn't seem like they had any trace on her up to now either.
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
"We were unsure of what your reaction would be. Gentlemen, you're dismissed." Every single one of them throws a salute before the various groups trot of. Jihl then turns her head a bit, craning it to relax vaguely. "Ahh." She mutters, before giving her another smile.

"I believe that will be all, my dear. Don't be afraid to call."
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron watches the guards leaving... and sighs to herself a bit. Well, safe at least "... Ah, I wanted to know... about Cocoon... do you know anything?" She asks. She has those images flashing in her head after all. Its not the first time, last time it was before she was crystalized. So... maybe its her focus. But how can you tell what your focus is, when all you see is pictures of a world you can't even go to?
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
"No..." Jihl says, masking the sourness of not knowing things.

"Different people have different stories; when the Heartless -- that's what they're called - attacked, I fought them hard and long. Eventually a dark portal opened up and I was cast out of the world onto the areas of a another town, and found my way back home."
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron nods, sighing "... I wish I knew what happened." She can't explain it well, but she's been travelling around trying to get information too, but everyone she met had similar stories. Maybe Cocoon really doesn't exist anymore? "Well.. thank you." She bows courtly.
Jihl Nabaat has posed:
"You're welcome. Be well, Serah Farron."

With that oblique statement, Jihl raises her hand and disappears down the nearest alleyway.
Serah Farron has posed:
Serah Farron stays there for a few moments more... She's not sure what happened exactly here, but she might as well take it. She'll take having a bit of rest over watching her shoulder every passing moment for them trying to chase or trap her somewhere. She sighs, and walks away. Well, might as well look up for that bow shop as she was here for at first... It should be somewhere around here.
