Good Morning VeeeiTraverse Town
Date of Scene: 12 December 2012
Location: Traverse Town - District 1
Synopsis: CHIEF has decided to bring some action into the lives of those of Traverse Town in Distract 1. They were so thrilled, they decided to also join the party of activities...
Cast of Characters: Reize Seatlan, Beatrix, CHIEF, Palom, Peter Pan

CHIEF has posed:

Traverse Town is a nice little town. Beyond the heartless and trouble that some times finds it from the darkness. However some areas were safe from this darkness and every day life went along just fine. Such places like Distract 1.

However peace was soon about to become interrupted by a wildcard known as CHIEF. This agent of chaos had only shown his face recently in activity and was hard to peg if he was working with someone or just out to do his own thing.

In the case of this event he was planning, it was completely his own creation. No one was telling him to do this or not to do this; not that they could tell him to stop anyhow.

Walking across the street of Distract 1 is the man himself, wearing a black leather duster. Red lens shades hiding his gold eyes and black, biker like boots with steel toes over his feet. What clothing doesn't hide is his black 'body suit' with glowing green lines over it and his red-brown hair with some gray mixed in to it.

Soon CHIEF glances up at a building before a smile crosses over his lips, with his teeth holding a cigar that was already lit, before he takes a few puffs from it, then reaches up to remove it from his lips. "This looks like a perfect place for a little fun." He then taps the cigar to drop some ash on the ground, before he places back in his mouth once more.

Then pulling out his pulse rifle from his hip, he separates it (somehow) in two pulse rifles and then starts firing at several of the buildings; mostly at the signs; causing them to explode in sparks of colors while grinning like a loon.

At this point any people walking about start to run for cover. At least none of them were being shot at...

..yet.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
It was a day of healing. It was a very much needed day of healing for the citizens of Manhattan. Some of them have been displaced from their own world and are now out in Traverse Town. Welcomed with opened arms, many of the people had been trying to get some form of adjusting.

A bit further along the streets at the first district is Reize Seatlan. Helping a middle-aged man with carrying the bags to his family, the boy watches the male turn his head to give the boy a two-finger salute before departing. He was Italian in general, had a bit of the rough accent. There he went to his family, huddled up together.

Reize could only watch with a smile growing, "It's good that they still have each other." The frown grows, mentally contemplating over the recent events. So, this is how the people in his world felt when they lost their homes. It is very disheartening to---

*KABOOOM!*

That is when the sounds of explosion has the family huddled together. Thoughts are now put aside, Reize turns to the family, "Oi, get to safety! Now!" As he usher the family and the other citizens and denizens out, Reize sprints towards the building.

It takes about a moment for the boy to arrive to the chaos, seeing the perpetrater wielding two pulse rifles. "...They don't need this, not now... of all things...!"

*whip!* Both boomerangs retract from his sides and he shouts, "HEY! JERK!" A hand winded back, Reize arcs the boomerang to fly over head, not to strike him, but it moves past him to get his attention before the boomerang returns to the boy.

Catch.

"Leave these people alone! They suffered enough!"
Beatrix has posed:
There was a military convoy in Traverse Town, oddly enough. Alexandrians. Despite being allied with Barons, Alexandrian itself never turned a blind eye to the needing, and sent a small convoy to help out with supplies, food, tents, medecines and cures as needed.

And among them, the famous general. Well, famous in her corner of the world, but in this multiverse she's not as well known.

Just as well too, its less of a bother, less duel requests and what not, among other things.

When the explosion hits, the general turns over toward the commotion, a hand on her sword.

She's not very happy with people that would be making trouble in the middle of misery, and this is definitely the wrong place and time to do so.

She takes a fast stride toward the explosion, turning her head toward her troops "Bring the people to safety, backup with the healing." Simple orders, as she strides up to confront the problem herself.

Oh, there's Reize too, she met him before in the sands. Well, as long as he doesn't get hurt, if he's confident about his abilities, there's nothing wrong about that either.
CHIEF has posed:

CHIEF was blasting away at the windows and the signs. Mostly just causing some general destruction. However when the boomerang passed over his head, he did indeed stop firing and turned his attention slowly to the boy who caught it. There was still that grin on his face. "My, my. So protective of the people. I guess you think you are some hero, right? A big shot perhaps?" CHIEF actually chuckles a little.

"Little user, you don't know who you just picked a fight with." That grin becomes a massive, dark smile as Reize's reflection is now lit in those red shades of CHIEF's. Soon one of the pulse rifles come to aim right at the youth, while CHIEF only chuckles softly. "Click click. Boom boom."

However before CHIEF fires he takes notice of the female knight who comes running up to join the effort, he can't help but raise an eyebrow before lowering his weapon. "And it seems little user has some help now. Things just /keep/ getting interesting..." CHIEF then smiles before reaching up to remove the cigar. "..I like that.. I like that allot." He then looks at the bud of his cigar before looking at the general of Alexandrian past it. "Just don't disappoint me. I hate disappointments." He says before flips the cigar off to the side and twirls both pulse rifles before aiming at them both.

"Now show me what you got, users!"
Reize Seatlan has posed:
Once the pulse rifles point his way, Reize takes an alarmed look. However, he shows no sign of budging from his spot. Instead, he takes a fighting stance, both boomerangs held invertely as he prepares to take an aggressive stance.

As a woman arrives with a sword at hand, Reize looks over to see her. His eyes widen with relief, "Oiii! General Beatrix!" The smile fades, turning his head towards the strange suited clothed man with the artillery.

"...Let's send this guy packing."

Reize already moves in a quick dash towards the man, his velocity exponentially increasing as he closes the distances between himself and Chief. Once he is within the melee range, the young boy twists forward to swing both boomerangs out, whipping them across. The back arm is the leading strike, then he twists his hip to swing his foot out to strike his back. He whips back to snap a roundhouse at his gut. Then, the boy spins around... "Hya! Kya!"

To spring his feet off of the ground, his leg whips out into the air to release a kick to knock the invader off of his feet. "HA!"
Beatrix has posed:
Beatrix is ready to fight, but Reize has taken the fore. That's fine with her as well. She's a protector first and foremost, makign sure that no attacks gets past her andhit innocents behind her.

She raises her sword defensively, and then a hang in front of her chest, her arm swinging to the side as she releases a white spell toward Reize, backing him up as an opening move.
Palom has posed:
Screams of distress. Palom suddenly recalls the attack on Mysidia. It is not a pleasant memory.

Someone is attacking the refugees. This is wrong. The boy runs down the street, seeing the strange man... it's not clear how he's producing those energy blasts, but it is clearly on purpose. "Hey!" the boy calls out. "You should stop that, now. You don't want to hurt these people!" He slows down as he approaches. "And if you think you do... then I'm going to make you regret it!" He points to himself with his thum. "I'm Palom, the Genius of Mysidia!" And then he points at Chief. "And _you_ can stop being a meanie right now, or I'll _make_ you stop!"
Peter Pan has posed:
Suddenly, a warcry! A loud hollar half-broken and returned over and over and over again as the hollerer's hand patted his mouth, a cry that most of the group would not recognize... Except maybe the chief. Shooting down from seemingly nowhere came the source of the noise, who stopped, hovering in the air some umpteen feet above CHIEF's head. "Hey, Chief!" called a boy in green. "Why're you breaking all these things? Are you hunting pirates?"
CHIEF has posed:

Reize moves into strike, but every attack is quickly blocked by CHIEF. That Duster moving like a cap in the wind, as the boy finds himself not even getting one past the strange man he faces, then when the kick comes to knock him off his feet, CHIEF leaps into the air to not only avoid it but to flip himself right up on a light pole. So in some success, Reize did get him up in the air; probably just not the way he was hoping for.

CHIEF glances over to Beatrix as she casts some spells on herself and Reize which causes him to softly click the roof of his mouth. He seen such arts before when he was attempting to steal a tank against that one user. This seems to be a very common thing for them. "User tricks.." He mutters softly.

Soon another voice breaks out across the way. Another youth it seems. "..What is with you little users. Did some compile program mess up on your size limiters?" He then gets a dead-pan look on his face as Palom makes his name known and tell CHIEF what he needs to do. This slowly brings that grin back on his face before he barks out in laughter up from where he stands. "You, user, are telling /ME/ what to do? Hahaha! Your funny. I like that. Maybe I'll bring you the swiftest of deaths first. I promise, it will only hurt... allot."

Then as he was getting ready to aim for them, then came that sound from above. This caused CHIEF to glance over his shade at the boy in tights with his gold eyes over the lens. "I am doing what I do best, little sprite and you are kindly welcome to join in with the festivities. But I assure you," There was a darkness in his voice. "..you wont like it much.."

Not that he expected Peter Pan to understand any of this. After all, just yesterday he was being 'civil' with the user flier boy. Now the kid just happen to cross him on a warpath. Such is life of being CHIEF.

CHIEF then pushed right off the light lamp, before there was a charging sound from the two pulse rifles. Then with a blast down to the ground he went to attempt to knock those up from the ground into the air, before he landed on the side of a building. Then pushing off he combined the two pulse rifles into one, before deploying out several small explosives. Which exploded into the air with some type of gas, before landing on top of another roof's edge. Then laying down some suppressive fire for good measure.

Peter Pan was exempt from this insanity; for some odd reason.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
As the strikes lash out, they collide with the beating arm that defends against his blows. Each strike, including the kicks, do not make their purchase. If there is one thing that's for certain, the guy knows about guarding pretty well. The boy managed to get him up into the air, but there was not much purchase in the fliping kick.

Landing on a knee, Reize frowns and he turns his head slightly. It is perhaps a good thing that Reize is not alone. There is the familiar presence of General Beatrix, the great knight from Alexandria. However, the new presence of a faintly familiar face at Manhattan comes into play. He can hear the sound of a younger boy, "Huh...?" Reize's eyes briefly turn to the boy. A bit somewhat familiar in the crowd of people. But it is only faint. The boy who is completely unfamiliar is an individual who is in the sky, "..Whoa." The boy gazes up at the flier, but his attention soon returns to the CHIEF.

"Chief... huh...?" The boy imprints the name into his mind.

When he pushes off the lamp post, the blasts from the rounds impact to the ground near the boy. "Whh----" The explosion of the rounds sends him flying off of the ground and he faces the suppressive shots, the barrage wearing against his defenses. "Nggghhh!" He manages to grab a lamp post, then he springs off of it.

"Th--that hurt... Time to turn the tables."

As he lunges from the lamp post, Reize seeks to close the distance between himself and the Program. The body quickly fades away, appearing like he's teleporting. The sheer speed of the dash lands him beside the Program of Chaos.

"I'm far from done, you jerk!"

This puts him on the roof's edge, where Reize immediately greets him with something tossed right out of his bag of tricks, aiming for the eyes. "Gotcha!" Then, Reize spins about to have his legs whip out a mid-air roundhouse kick and a hook kick in attempts to kick him off the roof.
Palom has posed:
"What? I'm little because I'm _five_. Are you stupid?" Palom asks.

And then plasma explodes in front of him, sending him flying backward! He tumbles, rolling until he finally comes to a stop. "Oww... I _warned_ you!" With a small burst of magical power, he levitates back to his feet. He holds up his staff, spinning it on the end of his finger, the gem in the head glowing red. 'Star fire...' Then he grips it in both hands and takes aim at CHIEF, not unlike aiming a plasma rifle. 'Show this man fiery judgement!' Two sparks fly out of the end -- and then suddenly explode around CHIEF, explosions curiously made of heat and magic and not much force -- and then they explode again, like some sort of magical cluster bomb!

Palom's attempt to force CHIEF to the ground is followed by kneeling down and placing his hands on the street. 'Stones in the ground, awake and attack!' A crack forms in the street ahead of Palom, rapidly spreading towards the lamppost -- and then, if Palom has his way, a fissure opens up as the ground shakes, trying to swallow up the rogue program and then crush him between its rocky sides!

That probably wasn't the best spell to use in a town. Oops.
Beatrix has posed:
Beatrix intercepts the attack with her sword, but apparently there was more tricks to it than she thought. The exploding pellets take her by surprise, and singes off her leather dress a bit, but she's not overly worred by it either.

She notices that other people joined in the fight. A small mage, and that green boy... well looks like she the veteran today.

She moves in to cover for the mage's casting, jumping up after the program, going through the fire explosions that the small mage is tossing toward it, bringing down her sword, glowing with mystical energies. Her forte is in defense, but also breaking down the enemy's offense at the same time.
Peter Pan has posed:
Peter Pan swoops in as the flurry of attacks go off in the air, the sound of bells tinkling loudly as he moves. He carefully dodges the blasts and bursts coming from CHIEF and Palom, a trivial task as they're not actually aiming at him. "Careful, CHIEF!" he calls out, not actually understanding what's going on. "You almost hit that boy!"

A loud tinkle of bells, and then "LOST boy? You think?" Peter flies over toward the child a surge of wind wrapping around him to help knock errant blasts away, and then a sparkling something shoots out from under his hat.

A tiny woman, not much bigger than a hand, dressed in leaves swooped around Palom, sparkling dust coming out of her and settling on the boy's wounds, working quickly to start patching him up.
CHIEF has posed:

CHIEF is a little caught off guard by how fast Reize comes up on him. As the youth goes to throw him off with a strong kick and followed by somewhere in there that powder. It covers over the lens of the shades, but as Reize finishes the final blow to slam CHIEF hard into the ground, the program returns this with a quick shot from his pulse rifle.

His body impacts the ground with a strong enough force it breaks the payment below him, before his body rolls across the ground and he forces himself back up on his feet. He reaches up to remove those shades from his eyes, but it can be seen where Reize's tricks have done their deer as there is a form of darkness over the programs face, attempting to stick on the skin.

Though such was enough for the castor boy to do his thing. Honestly CHIEF didn't even understand the concept of 'five'. That wasn't how Programs worked after all, though he had little time to question this as suddenly fire blasted around him, before the ground attempted to crush him. As the dust started to clear, there was a low rumble, before the very rocks that attempted to enclose him were blasted away by a massive plasma explosion to free himself what could have been his tomb.

The Black Leather duster was now a mess, with holes and the smell of burnt leather in the air. The shades were cracked in his hand, and only shattered as he crushed his hand around them. It wasn't to long did he see the shadow of Beatrix coming down for him with her glowing sword. CHIEF quickly reached for one of the boulders that attempted to crush him out of existence and tossed it up to make impact with the blade as he tumbled out of the way from the strike.

"Fancy blade you have there, user." He says calmly to Beatrix with a smile on his face. "You users all have such /interesting/ tricks. It is amazing what you all can do. Very amazing indeed." CHIEF does indeed sound like he is complimenting the lot.

Peter Pan's comment goes ignored, only those gold eyes glancing over to him for a moment before he chuckles softly. "You really are clueless, huh little sprite. Here is a hint, unless you want to end up like them. Get lost. Unless you want to get added to the roster to be deleted." Why CHIEF was being nice was a mystery. Perhaps Peter Pan reminded him of someone? Or perhaps he just saw the 'kid' as a low level threat.

Which could be a mistake later.

CHIEF then stands up, as he separates the pulse rifles once more. His gold eyes staring at those gathered as his smile only gets larger. "Keep it up, users. I am only just getting warmed up!" His eyes then turn to look at Reize, before he attempts to blast a explosive sphere across the area to slam everyone into the ground; even if they already on the ground with him.

Once that is done, he kneels down low fires off several shots, before he spins back up to his feet and blasts out several shots of what looks like green energy that not only 'strings' out from the rifles by seems to be attempting to absorb back into the weapons themselves.

Sadly Peter Pan may get caught up in this, but CHIEF does yell one thing in the direction of Peter, "Duck, Little Sprite!" There was indeed a laugh that followed that.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
That kick makes purchase, but not before the quick laser from the pistol comes his way. Thankfully, Reize is quick on his reaction to notice the incoming blast. He sways his body to the side, letting the beam graze along his cheek.

There is a frown. This is a city, too many people. Sure, they have fled by now, but... Reize frowns, "Ooii! Control the magic, kiddo!" Reize calls out towards Palom, frowning at the sheer thought of his magic going out of control. It is starting to remind him of a certain magic user in his group.

....And a fissure ripples open. The rooftop that he is on is shuddering violently, causing him to stumble. "Who---whooaaaaa!" And Reize falls off from the ledge of the roof. To make things even worse, the rogue program releases an explosive sphere his way, "W---h..."

It detonates, releasing the blast that sends him further off-course on his landing, "Gaaahhh!!!" It is a really bad landing that Reize face when he crashes against the dumpster with a thud. The pain ebbing against him. To make matters worse, Reize receives fire as Chief fire slow shots all around.

Reize attempts to jump out, but the 'string' hooks against the boy and drains a bit of his energy, "Gaaaaahhhhh!!" Reize yelps, falling on his side and clutching against the ground. He winces, narrowing his eyes at CHIEF before he stands up. "Nggh..." The people have fled, for the most part. However, they need to get this guy out.

"General Beatrix! I am going to keep him steady!" He looks over towards Palom, "Oii! Kiddo! Need you to lay those spells on him good. The boy quickly reaches for his boomerang, nice and steady. Then, he chucks it over towards the man. It ricochets all around the walls and the ground, aiming to strike and perhaps disorient the Program of Destruction.

Then, Reize reaches along his bag of tricks and starts flipping out a lasso. As he whips it around, he sends the rope out to tie against the man.

"Have a seat, jerkwad!"
Beatrix has posed:
Beatrix doesn't manage to get the program's attention this round, but that's fine with her as well. It gives her time to work up the defenses and health of those around her. The stalwart general is there for that reason after all. Another summoning of white magic, the general's speciality no doubt, bringing up the health for the allies.
Palom has posed:
"Lost? I'm not lost, I'm in Traverse Town." Palom replies. And then... huh, wind magic and something that feels like regen! The flying boy is a white mage?? Or that tiny woman is...

Then CHIEF blows him up again! Palom's left with somewhat torn-up and burned clothing. "Oww! We'll stop you, mister! Yeah, that's _exactly_ what I'm gonna do!"

The young mage runs a bit closer, and takes a deep breath. Levelling his staff at at CHIEF again.

'Put this evil spirit in TIME OUT in a prison of stone! BREAK!'

"Now you sit there and you think about what you did!" Palom chastises, as his magic tries to assault the program's body like some kind of virus... make it sluggish and slow to respond, feeling heavy, numb, and hard to lift, like unmoving stone...
Peter Pan has posed:
Peter Pan hovered over Palom and looked down at the boy, ready to evade any errant blasts. "You know," he said to Palom, "the Chief probably wouldn't be attacking you if you weren't-"

The sound of bells.

"What do you mean raving lunatic?"

More bells.

"What's... omnicidal?" He tilted his head at the fairy, only vaugly paying attention to the fight.

Meanwhile, feet below him, his shadow grasped hold of Palom's and gave it a sharp tug. The dark image of the boys leapt up and waved at CHIEF, attempting to distract him as Pan spoke with his fairy companion.
CHIEF has posed:

The young adventurer comes in with quick speed of strikes. Each blow impacts the corrupted program, knocking him back a bit with each move. However when Reize pulls back to pull out the lasso, CHIEF only grins before he says softly, "You should have stuck with it, user. You had a better chance."

When the lasso comes in, CHIEF barely avoids being roped, but in return for Reize's attempt he gets a quick shot from the pulse rifle.

CHIEF slowly looks over to Beatrix as she casts more of the 'magic' to everyone. He can kinda tell what she is doing, by how everyone seems to have become more livelier. Even his own scratches and bruises have healed from when he drained them. Outside of her. He missed her. "..Oh.. your good." he says softly. "You are really good. I admire that in a target. Makes things more fun."

Then comes the little kid again with his magic. The staff's arts make impact and it actually throws CHIEF back a bit. Whatever the kid did to him, caused him to nearly fall flat onto his knee, resting part of his weight for a moment on one of his plasma rifles. Then, CHIEF started laughing. The laughing was light, but it was slowly growing louder and louder.

Slowly the program stood back up, grinning like a mad man, but a twinkle was in his eye; like he was actually having /fun/ with this. "More! Give me more! I know you users can even do better then this!"

The shadow then moves in to distract CHIEF, but the program only waves his pulse riffle at it, his attention wasn't to much divided away; but it was easy to tell that the shadow was being a slight distraction.

Though it seem like everyone got a reprieve for the moment of being attacked. Weather this was the shadows doing or CHIEF really wanting them to go all out was hard to tell.
Beatrix has posed:
Beatrix isn't giving Chief the chance to rest up too much though. She moves in, Save The Queen rised up. The sword is glowing when it strikes, bringing several slices across the program, lines of energies following the (hopefully) precise strikes to the Chief's body and arms. Her aim is disrupting the defenses of course. For some reason, the shape of the energy hitting Chief takes the form of flowers and petals, which would be pretty if it wasn't dangerous.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
And then.. that revitalizing energy is starting to imbue the boy. He sucks in a breath, feeling the pain mending together. He looks up towards Beatrix, offering her a brighter smile. It is a tad tired, but he is very appreciative of the assistance.

"Th--thanks, General..."

Unfortunately, it's that pulse shot that strikes him down, knocking him off couse a tad. The boy winces, glaring towards the CHIEF, "Nggghh...!" As the boomerang returns, Reize takes strides forward to catch the boomerang and he starts racing at the man's direction. Reize is using the moment of 'rest' to take the initiative in launching a strike against the CHIEF.

"Great job, kiddo!" Reize cheerfully compliments Palom's art. However, his face is filled with determination, "...Now's our chance!"

As soon as Reize gets close enough....

"Hunting Hawk!"

His body blurs as he is zipping by the Program. His boomerangs swing across with /slashes/ across the man. Then, Reize spins around to release the mid-air spinning round house kick with a hook kick, "Sparrondo!" This will put him in close distance with the invader; close enough to hopefully avoid collateral damage, but far enough to get away from the explosion if need to.

Then, Reize extends his hands out, "This is my will!"

An explosion of magic expels from him as his pendant radiates. It's brilliance becomes as bright as a star as the power starts forming as he extends a hand across his shoulder. The aura forms into a glittering tarot.

"Flickering blaze, burn!"

The boy launches the tarot into the air, which then spirals into the air and it shatters. As the light from the pendant's gem lights in brilliance, it burns as bright as the star.

"FIREBALL!"

Three balls of fire form around him, then they merge together into a large fireball to wash over the Chief.
Palom has posed:
Palom frowns slightly. "Are you crazy, mister? You sound like you _wanna_ be hurt!" Peter's shadow grabs him and pulls him away from an attack that doesn't come! "What..." he looks between the shadow and Peter. "How are you doing that?"

When no further attack comes from CHIEF, Palom takes advantage of the breather to gather magical energy himself. "It's over, mister. Just go home and never bother innocent people again."
Peter Pan has posed:
"So he's just going around attacking people because?"

More bells.

"That hardly makes sense." Peter reached up and scritched his head, the fairy still working to patch up the injured Palom, slowly, as she argued with him.

"Alright... HEY, CHIEF! Are you just trying to kill everyone?" he called over, figuring that an answer from the program would solve this confusion once and for all.

Of course, his shadow wasn't one to wait up. The fairy made some gestures toward CHIEF, and Peter's shadow repeated them to Palom's. The mage's shadow, slightly confused, nodded, and then the two sped off, independantly of the boys. Peter's shadow flew along the ground toward the CHIEF to crash into his shadow, fists flying, and Palom's shadow swung its wand, sending out star-shaped shadows along the ground that aimed at the CHIEF as well. Despite the apparant violence, the CHIEF wouldn't actually be 'hurt' if they hit his shadow, but he'd certainly feel as though his interaction with the world had suddenly gone wrong somehow.
Palom has posed:
Palom's mouth drops agape, and then he looks down to see that his shadow is indeed gone.

WHAT.

D:
CHIEF has posed:

Beatrix comes in first. The female knight was most impressive. How her sword glowed and how the petals poured out from it. However CHIEF wasn't just going to stand by and let this woman have her way. The program, though weakened took his moment of rest to get out her way of her swipes. Each swing coming dangerously close. The blade once clipping a strand of his hair. Another missing as he tosses his jacket off to get the way of a few of the petals.

Then another of her swings blocked suddenly by a strange disk that he pulls off from his backside that hums gently and pulses with green energy, before he backs away with a spin to fire off a quick shot. "I do hate using this thing for such," motioning to the disk in his hand before placing it back on his backside. "But you dear user, are something else. I think I will remember your face, but I do wonder your name." He seems honest about this.

However as the next attack comes in, he places up his index finger to her, "Hold that process, user."

As Reize goes to move in for an attack, CHIEF pushes off and goes into a sprint; actually pulling the attack away from Beatrix and to the other side of the 'arena' that this area has provided to be. However even with the sprint it wasn't enough to escape. Each boomerang hits cutting into the Program, knocking him back with the heavy spin kick.

CHIEF is thrown back and lands onto the ground, rolling before forcing himself back up. Only in time to see the tarot card come up and soon the three fireballs launch his way. Instead of avoiding or defending. CHIEF instead extends out his arms as if to accept his fate. The Three fireballs slam down into him, surrounding him in fire. There was no scream of pain from the massive attack. No cry to make it stop. No. Instead there was laughter.

Completely.

Dark.

Laughter.

As the fire started to subside, CHIEF was on his knee, hand on the ground as smoke rose off his body. Parts of his body burnt; or so it looked. However it wasn't long till the program slowly rose to his feet. A smile on his face. A nice, big, deadly smile.

Palom's words come across from away, but CHIEF can only just keep smiling before he tilts his head to one side. "Oh, I fear there are no innocents in this world, little user. That is something you have all taught me. You all, being users, have taught me to kill. Trained me to do so with your mass weapons of war."

CHIEF's shadow was indeed intact and CHIEF could feel a surge come from it. A very strange feeling at that. It ran a cold feel through his power source and it could be seen for a moment as the lines on the black body suit dimmed a few times; dimming with each hit he took. Those gold eyes only glanced over to Peter Pan, before they slowly went back to the others.

CHIEF's own shadow doesn't know how to react to this, if anything it sparks with light; or something like it. Programs were so strange in the real world and how things interacted with them.

If they boy pushed it, he may indeed get CHIEF's aggression. Sadly, Peter Pan gets no answer from the raging program.

The plasma rifle's barrel starts to glow brightly. Pulsing with energy as it continues to charge up. "So you see, even if I wanted to stop. It is against my programming to stop. So I will take what I know, what you users have turned me into, and kill every," The pulse rifle slowly rose up. "Single.." It continued to glow brighter at the barrel point, "...one of..." The brightness became an almost energy ball at the top of the barrel as it continued to grow. "..You."

Those last words were said with completely calmness, before his eyes narrowed, then he said with a dark tone in his voice and no smile on his face. "My turn."

Then a blast exploded out from the Plasma Rifle Heading out for the area. This was followed by another explosion, before an effect from the final explosion. Which was almost like a fall out that attempted to stick to them like aqua green snow-flakes that quickly faded on whatever it landed on, causing a pulse of energy against it once it managed to absorb fully in.
Beatrix has posed:
Beatrix always been the one ready to take in the hits for her subordinates to live on for the counter attack. And that attitude doesn't change even away from her troops. She knows the little mage is preparing something big, and she decides to wager on it, moving into the way of the attack, letting Palon stand in her shadow as the energy blasts fly around her. She's singed, but still standing, flipping her hair away casually after it.

"You have lost your chance to win here. There shall be no mercy." And with that, her sword raises to the heaven, a thunderbolt striking the sword, but instead of frazzlign the general up, the blade absorbs it, and starts cracking with the magical energy. With a long stride, she jumps toward Chief, landing in front of it as she brings the sword down, releasing the energy into an explosive, thunder-filled dome.

And yet it doesn't stop there. Admist the thunder attack, her sword takes on another color, becoming pre white as it charges with holy energies. She jumps up, driving the sword up to slice chief in two, releasing the holy magic on the way up, creating along white slash along the path of the blade.

And as she lands, her sword is already charging up with yet another color, red this time, slicing the air and releasing an explosive, firey blast toward Chief, as her own leap takes her out of harm's way.
Palom has posed:
"Why do you keep calling everyone users? You don't have to kill if you don't want to. If fighting's what you're best at, you can use it to protect people, like I do." Palom suggests.

And then CHIEF totally Buster Rifles the heroes -- Palom raises a shield of ice, but it's unnecessary as Beatrix leaps in front of him and probably does something crazy awesome like cutting the beam in half.

Palom's expression darkens. "But if you won't stop, I'll use my power to _make_ you. Because you're going to hurt people who don't deserve it." The young boy takes a deep breath.

Darkness beyond blackest pitch, deeper than the midnight sky. Power as vast as the largest ocean, inscribe yourself in the air around him, mirroring the decay of his heart! Destroy the foe before me, by the power I possess!

Black Magic's Ultimate Spell... FLARE!

Palom holds his staff above his head as he speaks, then swings it at CHIEF. The boy's magic is faintly visible, coalescing and concentrating around the rogue program... And then it strikes not at him, but at the space around him, tearing the very air and stone beneath his feet apart and releasing the energy that holds matter together itself. THAT is the power that fuels this attack.

Everything seems to go quiet -- there's a blinding flash of light and then a roaring explosion that lights up the street as if it were day, accompanied by a shockwave that threatenes to blow Traverse Town's defenders off their feet and maybe shatters a few windows, as the glowing sphere of light surrounds where CHIEF was, grows... and then finally dies out, leaving only a rising cloud of smoke.

Was it enough...?
Reize Seatlan has posed:
The pendant's glow fades away as soon as the spell fades off. Every trace of the magical charge whisks away into the air as if it was nothing. Reize, feeling the calmness of the people's wishes, feels at peace. However, the battlefield is yet to be cleared.

Chief's laughter has the boy looking at him with a frown, "...You love fighting so much, don't you?" However, his words draw the boy's attention, "... What do you mean?" People have taught him to kill? For a moment, Reize considers his words for a moment, then he frowns.

"...Do you really think that?"

Then, Reize shakes his head with dismay.

"...If that is what you really think..."

The blast starts rushing towards Reize. It is a tidal wave of explosion that occurs as the Program starts releasing several blasts. The force of the energy homes in on the boy. However, Reize starts running towards the CHIEF. As the concussive energy plants to the surface, Reize lunges off of the ground and rolls away from the explosions behind him. As he leans forward, both hands shoot himself into the air and he hangs off into the air.

Soaring in the air, Reize manages to grab a hold of the lamp post and he twists his body around until he lands on one knee.

....Until he sees Palom preparing for a spell.

Reize is getting the hell out of dodge. "WH--whoaaaahhhhhh!!!" Reize is running quickly, trying to get out of the area of effect. In fact, Reize is running until he can get into some sort of cover.

Unfortunately, Reize runs right into a refrigerator that has been long unplugged. It shuts behind him. "Gahhhh!!"

...That is when the explosion comes. That explosion sends the refrigerator flying across the street, slidding across by the blast point... And it skids to a halt, looking completely wrecked, but oddly enough, not destroyed.

Reize emerges from the refrigerator, safe, if a bit dizzied and beaten from the inside.
CHIEF has posed:

"This was never about winning, User." CHIEF replies back to her. "Fighting to win or to be serious, hehe. That just isn't my style!!" Beatrix comes it with that glowing sword of hers. Each strike impacts. First the Thundering slash, followed by a near gutting strike, that rip into the side of the Program as he attempts to move away from the blow. It cuts in deep, slashing through that section of his body like butter. That was the first time his teeth was actually gritted in pain.

Then the explosive wake of the sword soon follows, impacting him hard and sending him flying into the air for a moment, before he crashes into the side of a building, then down to the street below where he lays there for a moment. Before he slowly picks himself up. Laughing gently.

The first attempt to get up though, he nearly falls down again, before he manages to get his feet under him. "..Good. Good." he says softly. "So beautiful it is."

However something far more interesting catches CHIEF's attention. The whole place lights up and he stares upward. He doesn't even move to run from it. Instead he just chuckles softly before saying. "I guess this has all answered my question."

KAAATHHOOOOOMMMMM!!

The massive force of the flare strikes. The impact sending shards of the street across the area. Glass shattering all around. Nothing, nothing should survive this.

Once it clears up and the smoke rises. There was nothing standing there. No sign of a body; nothing. However it seemed the impact made a clear smash through the ground itself into the sewer system below. Cable lines that were snapped were sparking and nothing but darkness could be seen down there with the running water.

It would seem CHIEF may have escaped by the sewer; or if he didn't escape, he was going to be washed up somewhere. Either way, it seems the heroes protected the town from the raging program. Though why he was here, would perhaps forever stay unknown...

After all, it had to be more then to just simply 'kill' people, right?
Peter Pan has posed:
Peter Panstared wide eyed for a moment as Palom made everything kathoom. It was big, it was beautiful, and it was right in his face. "Woooooooooooow," he said, the word elongated until the explosion had finished dying away. "That was great! Do that again! Hey, CHIEF, did you- .. Oh, he's gone. Guess he got exploded. Oh, well," and he turned toward Palom and said, in the same breath, "Hi, I'm Peter!"

Tinkerbell stared dumbfounded for a brief moment, then stuck two fingers in her mouth and whistled. Peter's shadow flew back into place, shoving Palom's into its proper spot on its way back.
Palom has posed:
Palom, of all people, is _ready_ for it, so he's able to brace himself against the shockwave -- his braid, cape, and clothes rustling in the wind. And then... CHIEF is gone. Did he defeat the monster? He blinks at Peter. "I need to rest a bit before-- uh..." He's briefly caught off guard by the sudden shift from fighting for the lives of innocents to friendly greetings. But then he grins, and jabs his chest with his thumb. "I'm Palom, Genius of Mysidia! Nice to meet you!" He glances down at the shadows. "You have some nice tricks yourself. Did you know that guy?"

Distracted, Palom forgets to thank Beatrix for saving him from getting plasma blasted. Oh well.
Beatrix has posed:
Beatrix flips her hair, standing there proudly despite the burns and sounds. The task is done, the threat is gone. Dead, retreated, it doesn't matter, the goal was to drive it away, and that's all that matters. She turns over to the others, sheathen her sword to her side "Well done everyone." She didn't know that guy, but randomly destroying things when people are still shaken from the events, not a good idea.
Reize Seatlan has posed:
Reize is out of it.

That explosion? Pretty harsh. Now when Reize manages to emerge from the beaten refrigerator. Te boy can only see the results of the explosion. "Nggh..." On one hand, Reize can see the results of that spell. A lot of destruction. Reize is slowly emerging from the wreckage and he starts crossing over the lines and looking at the town.

He looks over towards the others. A glance is given towards Beatrix, "...Oii, thanks again for the help, General." Then, he cannot help but frown, gazing around, "....He's gone, but..." He frowns, "I cannot help but feel that we've proven him right." The eyes shut, "...It looks like we'll be doing some repairs to make up for the damages." His eyes fall right towards Palom.
Peter Pan has posed:
"That was the Chief!" Peter explained. "He's a Program." That was all Peter knew, and so all he felt it was necesarry to say. Tinkerbell was already hard at work looking at Palom's wounds, touching them up with a bit of pixie dust.

Peter glanced over to Reize, then turned his attention right back to Palom. "Is that guy a pirate? He looks like he might be a pirate."
Palom has posed:
Palom is oblivious to Reize's gaze. He shrugs to Peter. "I don't know. How do you tell if someone's a pirate?"
Reize Seatlan has posed:
...Yep. Reize totally looks like a pirate. A fourteen-year old kid in adventurer's garb, lack of eye-patch, hook, that sort of thing. Yeah, totally a pirate.

"Me, a pirate?" He looks confused. He scratches his head, blinking, "...Pirate? You know, I do remember a band of pirates..." A frown grows, "They were one of the people that tried to destroy the portal in Manhattan."

t He furrows his eyebrows, "...Had guns, and one of them had strange long hair and a hook.." He gives a thoughtful look."
Beatrix has posed:
Beatrix bows toward the other fighters "You all did well, thank you for the assistance. The rescuees here will appreciate it as well, after the recent events."
Peter Pan has posed:
"Pirates? In Manhattan?!?" Peter asked, suddenly uprighting in the air, "And one with a hook? You don't think-" a tinkling of bells confirmed that she did, in fact, think, "HOOK! TO MANHATTAN!" Peter turned and darted off through the air, zipping away into the darkness... Only to zip right back a moment later. "...Where's Manhattan?"
