Profile

Growing up in the shadow of his brother Mufasa, Scar's jealousy grew and grew over time, feeling wrongfully denied of his right to be king of the Pride Lands. Of course, the birth of Scar's newphew, Simba, didn't help much either. Robbed again, his jealousy grew to the point of plotting to murder both Mufasa and Simba, and take over as king himself. His jealousy caught the attention of the Shadow Lords, who taught him the ability to control the Heartless, something he plans to use in earnest to ensure he gets his way, both in and out of the Pride Lands. Cold, manipulative and brutal, everything is a tool for Scar to use on his path to be king, though it seems he may be forging new bonds with the rest of the Shadow Lords, though time will tell if he seeks to use them or aid them.

Background

Once named Taka, Scar is one of two sons born to Adahi and Uru, the other being Mufasa. In his later years, he discovered that Mufasa had been chosen to be king of the Pride Lands over himself, which upset him greatly. While wandering off, he came across three hyenas named Shenzi, Banzai and Ed. Talking with them, they informed him that if he could make Mufasa look like a failure, then he would look more king-like and take the throne instead.

Putting a plot into motion, Taka tricked Mufasa into going down to the waterhole, where a cape buffalo named Boma was refusing to share the water with the rest of the Pride Lands (which was suffering from a drought at the time). While Mufasa attempted to reason with Boma, Taka instead demanded that Boma move by order of the Lion King or fight Mufasa. Enraged, Boma charged out of the water at Mufasa, however managed to escape with the aid of a mandrill named Rafiki. Boma, however, charged after Taka instead.

When Mufasa returned, Taka was being attacked by Boma's herd and was knocked unconscious by an attack from a buffalo's horns. While Mufasa leapt in to save his brother, the buffaloes readied for another attack, but King Adahi intervened at the last moment, surrounding the buffaloes with a large herd of various animals he had gathered from the Pride Lands, convincing the buffaloes to leave. Left with a scar on his eye as a mark of his mistake, Taka re-named himself Scar so that he would never forget.

When Adahi finally passed away, Mufasa was indeed introduced as the new King, which only served to increase Scar's hatred of him. Coupled with Mufasa having a son, Simba, with Sarabi, Scar's bitterness to his continued blocks at being king served only to further his will to become king by any means. When Simba was presented to the rest of the Pride Lands as their prince, Scar was absent, and later left Pride Rock to plan out his coup and take over as king, with the hepl of Shenzi, Banzai and Ed. It was this intense jealousy that drew the attention of Maleficent and the Shadow Lords, who offered to teach him how to control the Heartless to further his goal, in return for aiding them as well. Tempted by the lure of more power, he agreed, knowing that his time would come soon enough

Personality

Scar is cold, ruthless, merciless and positively brutal, stopping at nothing to achieve his goal to be ruler of the Pride Lands. Subjects and family mean nothing to him, other than being tools to achieve his goal, and we would kill anyone to get his way, with one exception; the hyenas Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, who he views as legitimate companions. He is also highly arrogant and overconfident in his abilities to the point of narcissism, placing his pride in his intellect first and foremost. He can also be sarcastic at times, usually to deal with those that annoy him, though failures he doesn't tolerate at all. He also adamantly refuses to acknowledge his mistakes and failures, shifting the blame to others.

Most notable about his personality, though, is his paranoia and jealousy towards his brother, Mufasa. Such is his jealousy that he despises even the mere mention of Mufasa's name, regardless of the context, further compounded by Mufasa's son, Simba, being next in line over himself and adding yet another figure for Scar to despise. Being second-best is not a valid result for anything and no cost is too great to get what he wants. Those who would dare oppose him would be taught a lesson.

Skills

Scar's human form

As a quirk of his world, Scar is able to assume a human form when stepping outside of the Pride Lands for limited periods of time. Furthermore, he is also able to call upon his hyena minions, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, though as they are summoned on a temporary basis, they are not subject to the transformative effects that he himself is. Aside from his newly-taught magic skills and ability to summon the Heartless (as well as other Shadow Lord abilities, though Scar himself currently struggles with Planar Control), Scar also has a gift in the oratory pursuits, able to convince others to follow him or break the morale of his foes, skills that befit his desire to make others fight his battles for him while he keeps out of harm's way.

Summon: Hyenas	Attack	Dark	Summons Shenzi, Banzai and Ed to the battlefield, who then charge at the target, breaking through any guards and knocking the enemy skywards. It can also make spells hit harder if used in quick succession.
Long Live The King	Limit	Dark	[Limit Break] Whether the target is in the air or clinging to a ledge, Scar throws them away from their position, letting gravity do the rest to devastating effect. While it can also work on ground targets, it is weaker due to needing to throw the enemy up first.
Dark Dash	Limit	Dark	[Limit Break] Drawing the power of darkness into himself, Scar wraps it around himself and charges at the enemy. This attack can be devastating, knocking the targets flying into the air as he runs past.
