NOTE: Yes, Evja is a crossdresser. He is a male Viera who dresses as a female Viera(in concealing clothes, not revealing, explicitly concealing) when not in his armor, and pretends to be a male human while in his armor. This is not in any way sexual, it is more akin to the style of crossdressing like in Mulan. It is done out of necessity to keep himself safe, in his view. You DO NOT know he is male simply by looking at him, unless you assume all things without massive breasts are male. He is quite good at this and has done it for many years, and since most people have never even heard of a male Viera, please assume he is female unless it comes up in RP that your character learns otherwise. I feel a bit silly having to note this, but there have been several people who lead off with, "A male Viera?!" ... so, yeah.

NOTE 2: Please, if you've only ever met him in armor, you shouldn't recognize him out of it! That's just common sense people :x Likewise, if you've never seen Evja before, and all you've seen is the Judge Armor, or you are simply meeting him in his Judge Armor, one should likely assume he is a) Male, given the imposing nature of the armor, and b) Human. There is no reason to know right off the bat, without outside knowledge(someone told the character otherwise) that it is a 'Bunny Judge' or anything of the sort. Again, I would think that is common enough sense, but... well, yeah, I've been proven wrong.

NOTE X: I don't bite! Sorry if these notes seem a bit... harsh, but it's things that bother me quite a bit and I want to make sure it's known, in some fashion.

As of late, Evja has been wandering, looking for a new purpose in the wider worlds now that the Hades Cup is over and he has no immediate goal.

Profile

Evja is a Viera whose home rests within one of the many worlds consumed by shadow. Thus, all Evja has left from his previous and original home is the armor and weapons he has with him. Currently, with no clan of his own in this new world, he wanders and works freelance jobs as they come up, for any spare munny. By normal standards, Evja would be considered of a Dragoons training, despite being a Judge. His preferred weapons are his collection of lances, he wears plate and jumps quite well.

Background

Evja was born in Flourgis, where he led a generally non-descript life. Kept apart from general society because of being born a male did lead to him having a somewhat romantic view of the outside world, particularly clans. This wasn't helped by the fact that he was whisked away to the Rupie mountains just after birth to keep him from being in harms way. For nearly thirty years, Evja was raised much like one would expect a sacrificial virgin would be in some more extreme cases. As Males were so rare in the Vieran culture, any who were born were to be raised for the good of all, not themselves. This meant that his only real friends often times were books, and stories that he heard from the females that came and went from the mountains. Given he only ever got to leave when in the company of a female on official business, and even then when he was fully garbed from head to toe to try and keep him even safer, his life was quite sheltered.

Eventually he ignored the demands of his elders and left his home to join a roaming clan, fully intending to lead said romantic life. By planning out a method of escaping, Evja finally was able to slip away from his band of escorts when he came across a roaming clan and promised to help them out if they created a distraction. Given the Clan had no Viera for him to learn from, not to mention being unable to seek out other Viera and having been sheltered since he was little, he wound up taking on the trades of a Bangaa. Specifically, he began training to be a Dragoon. Which was actually quite beneficial as he had a natural knack for jumping and using spears.

When out and in clan outings, however, he still had to hide the fact that he was male. This often led to him doing things like crossdressing as a female Viera or wearing long, flowing clothing despite being of a Dragoons lean to hide his gender. Eventually he was able to get some armor to help with this, though he still had to hide what he actually was.

However, a peaceful and fun life in a clan simply was not to be. As it turned out, the reason for a string of victories was a flood of beneficial laws that happened to be coming from the clan Judge, who was being bribed. With others having no way to prove the issue, though, it went unmolested until Evja took the issue up with another Clan's judge. During the scuffle that ensued when the Judges came to detain their Clan Judge, Evja sided with the Judges force against his own clan and the disgraced Judge and proved to be quite beneficial. Enough so that when the Judge was finally stripped of his armor and magic, and cast to Jail, Evja was offered a chance in thanks to take up Judgehood with the proper training.

Which he jumped at, no pun intended. It took him several years of hard effort, but he finally graduated. This was not without its own share of problems though. The ranks of the Judges were almost entirely Human, only select other near-humans were Judges as well. Not that he was unique by any means, but effort and determination paid off in graduating. Just when he was on his journey to meet the clan he was to be hosting... the Shadows came, and he was swept away into a new world.

Personality

As one might expect from a Judge, Evja tends to have a no-nonsense attitude about right and wrong. The Law is the Law, breaking the Law is bad and not something any law-abiding citizen should do. This is especially true for Clans who knowingly do this despite being Adjudicated. Otherwise, he still has a rather romantic notion of how the world works. Despite being a Judge, being raised away from Society kept him mostly sheltered. He is by no means naive, having lived many years in the proper world, but still some things tend to come across as a bit romantic.

Likewise, outside of his duty, he has little in the way of direction or something to do. His life is currently what it is. He is a Judge, working towards one day becoming more, perhaps even Judgemaster, should he obtain the opportunity. He has suffered many years of bunny jokes, and due to such has little taste for them. He still likes carrots however.

Despite his manner of being raised, he holds no ill will towards Viera or their culture, he simply chooses not to subject himself to that life. Though to that effect he never has had the chance to find anyone to be intimate with emotionally of his own kind, or even admit who he really is past the Judges whom he had little choice in revealing the truth to. Not that non-Viera cared about such things. That's actually something he has always hoped for, to find a Viera who would choose to keep his secret safe and not attempt to force him back into the lifestyle that is subjected to practically all males born of the Viera.

This in mind, though, he goes out of his way to avoid situations in which it might be discovered his identity and/or gender both. When in armor, Evja is just that, a Judge, a male, likely human Judge that has nothing to do with his normal self. When out of armor, though, Evja will often revert to a more reserved appearance, donning robes and cloaks and things to cover his face with, most especially never wearing anything that would be considered relaxed or open.

Combat

Evja is a Judge by profession, with a fighting style of a Dragoon. While physically he is a tank, due to his Vieran heritage and being a male thus, he is extremely weak to magic. And, personally, is actually incapable of casting proper magic. Combining the armory of a Judge with his training as a Dragoon, he tends to be the type who plows in first while expecting others to make up for what he can't do, primarily, keeping him protected from mages that he cannot simply lay into himself when the time comes.

As far as his abilities with weaopns, Evja is a master of using multiple lances at once, having had the opportunity to forge a collection of lances for himself when he graduated the Law Akademy. This is to say while he could get by using normal lances in multiples, he is most proficient when using his own, which he can summon to and dispel from himself as necessary.

Otherwise he carries around with him a generic Judge Sword, which he can use but prefers not to, instead simply using it as a formality of his position. As far as his other equipment goes, from his time within his Clan, he was able to obtain a rare set of Faerie Shoes, which he has since reworked into a set of Knight Greaves to look like proper Judge attire. After all, who would take a Judge wearing Faerie shoes seriously? Even if they happen to be a Viera. They still work the same, however, allowing him to flash short distances instead of moving 'manually', if he so chooses.(They can't be used to break into high security places and would simply be a combat/cantrip thing to represent his accuracy and attack. I have no plans to walk through walls.)
